Lovely break away for our wedding anniversary. Stunning location for walking and a really nice cottage.
What a lovely cottage in the most beautiful location! very Clean and homely. We've been all over the place - Hawes, Ribblehead, Buttertubs, West Witton, Skipton even the Lake District! waterfalls, caves, castles - a whole variety. Many thanks for the chocolate cake - very welcoming. We've had a fantastic time and don't want to leave!
We've had a great time here despite the rain at times! We had some nice walks and realised we passed the back of the cottage on the waterfall trail! Thank you for the chocolate cake, it was very welcome! We had tears from Jack, 5, he didn't want to go home.
We have had a great week in this superb cottage. so well equipped. Excellent walks from the cottage and also within a short drive away. Quality meats and produce from The Pantry Harvest store when needing to cook in.
It also had a fabulous view
We've had a great time. The cottage (and view) is fabulous. Thanks for all the 'extras'. We loved the photos around the place and enjoyed your book on dry stone walls!
A lovely cottage in a wonderful setting! A holiday of great walks, great scenery, great cheese! fabulous open skies and peaceful moments on the fells.
This very comfortable & well equipped cottage has made our few days very enjoyable, despite the weather. The welcoming chocolate cake was much appreciated! - Donna & Vic Newland
A very comfortable week despite the weather. The cottage is extremely comfortable - Richard & Angela (Suffolk)
The cottage is spotless and we loved all the additional comforts and details. You have literally thought of everything! Beautiful location too!
Thoroughly enjoyed the peace and tranquility of Scar End Cottage. Beautifully clean and well equipped. An added bonus was picking up the Ingleton Waterfall Trail behind the cottage. Amazing. Recommend White Scar Caves and Settle - Carlisle rail journey for outstanding scenery.
A spotlessly clean and carefully thought out cottage with wonderful, peaceful views.
A short but enjoyable break to the magnificent countryside. Everyone should have a window seat with that amazing view!
Fantastic week at Scar End. The cottage is fantastic and so well equipped. Had great fun exploring. A bonus to find an ice cream van at the top of the waterfall trail up behind the house :)
My second visit to Scar End Cottage. Lovely cottage in a great area. Endless places to visit and explore.
We have enjoyed our week's stay in this lovely cottage, thank you for all the homely touches and welcome refreshments. The logs were very much appreciated on some cold and very windy evenings! Its quite a gem inside. We have enjoyed lovely views as we have walked.
Thank you very much for a lovely stay in beautiful surroundings! This cottage had everything we needed and we felt at home as soon as we walked through the door.
Thank you so much for a lovely stay in your beautiful cottage. We enjoyed a couple of gorgeous walks around the waterfalls. The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped, we particularly appreciated the cake on arrival.
Lovely place. Walked miles! So many places to visit. Enjoyed our time here even if weather was not great.
Lovely property, clean, comfortable and well equipped. Location is secluded yet close to local amenities for supplies and eating out and also great potential for walking and cycling from the door.
Thank you for a lovely week at this snug little cottage. So many excellent walks and cycle routes straight from the front door. Particularly enjoyed hunting down the various caves in the area, and seeing the Norber erratics. Aswell as a fantastic cycle ride over to Dent. thanks for making sure the cottage is so well equipped, a real home from home.
Enjoyed staying at Scar End Cottage. Lovely walks from the door - Ingleborough and waterfall walk. Walked to Ingleton for meals and back by moonlight.
The cottage is lovely, nicely situated with lovely views and nice garden. like the idea of a welcome pack.
In spite of miserable weather (after all these weeks of hot, dry conditions) we had a lovely time in this perfectly situated cottage. Thanks to Angus and Val its one of the best kitted out we've been in I think and very comfortable. Make sure you book for the Mason's Arms. We enjoyed Malham Caves, local walks and waterfalls, runs up Ingleborough and Whernside "dry stone walls" and Skipton Castle
We really enjoyed our long weekend in Scar End Cottage. Very welcoming, well equipped and we particularly enjoyed the remoteness. It's just a shame we could not stay longer but hope to return.
Land of caves and waterfalls, Ingleton is a stunning place to enjoy a self-catering break and is in the ideal location to explore the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the nearby Lake District and Forest of Bowland. Pay a visit to the magical White Scar Caves with its magnificent caverns and waterfalls or stay aboveground to explore the spectacular effects of glaciation on the landscape: the limestone pavements, gorges and fantastic cliffs draw climbers, abseilers and cavers from across the world. If you're looking for a more tranquil way to explore this beautiful area, there are many fantastic walks taking you through wonderful countryside and to Ingleton's surrounding towns and villages (such as the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail) and trout and salmon fishing can be enjoyed in the area. The village itself has all the amenities you could require during your stay, with cafes, shops, supermarkets and delis selling fresh local produce right on your doorstep.
