What a great place to see in the new year! Beautiful views, lovely weather even some snow. Awesome location to be free in the open Dales! p.s the cake was yummy!
We've had a great stay - very peaceful. Lovely cottage, good walks and runs nearby and great bread from the bakery in the village! Thank you so much. Can't wait to come back!!
We have had a lovely weekend, its our first visit to Ingleton. Will be back, lovely calm quiet place. Great for our autistic son. Thank you for the cake. Hope to be back soon.
Lovely views and autumn weather. Great combination! Thanks for all the care taken.
Had a super stay in your beautiful cottage - thanks very much. Enjoyed walks from the house including Whernside and Ingleborough and sitting outside in the exceptional Yorkshire sunshine.
Lovely place. We enjoyed your books. A great place for an escape from Covid and a birthday treat!
We have loved the cottage and the surrounding countryside. Highwayman Inn was great for food in the evening, as was Ingletons fish and chip shop.
A really lovely stay. It was a delight to be able to walk straight from the house, and a bonus to find a coffee stall just around the corner!
Excellent location for walkers, haven't used the car all weekend!. Cosy and thoughtfully appointed cottage. Enjoyed our stay here. Thank you
Thank you for a lovely stay. Cottage is in a great position- 4 days walking with no need for the car. Ingleborough was our favourite walk. We also had a lovely, lonely walk up to Whernside in the sunshine.
A fantastic spot! We arrived during storm Dennis - and then it rained and the wind blew! We managed some great walking by Ribblehead to the waterfalls and a trip down Ingleborough cave. Recommend The Station Inn for food, drink and atmosphere. Despite the weather, we love the cottage and have had a great time.
We've had a very cosy Christmas in this wonderful cottage. Thanks for the welcome pack and slippers, very nice touch. Great supply of wood to keep us warm. What amazing views! We hope to come back soon.
What a lovely cottage in every way! So thoughtfully equipped. We appreciated the extra touches such as slippers, ready-laid fire and interesting books. Thank you for a restorative weekend for me and my son. We walked Whernside and Ingleborough on Saturday (great to be able to do it straight from the cottage) and had fun scrambling up a very wet Gordale Scar on Sunday.
We really enjoyed our long weekend in Scar End Cottage. Very welcoming, well equipped and we particularly enjoyed the remoteness. It's just a shame we could not stay longer but hope to return.
Land of caves and waterfalls, Ingleton is a stunning place to enjoy a self-catering break and is in the ideal location to explore the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the nearby Lake District and Forest of Bowland. Pay a visit to the magical White Scar Caves with its magnificent caverns and waterfalls or stay aboveground to explore the spectacular effects of glaciation on the landscape: the limestone pavements, gorges and fantastic cliffs draw climbers, abseilers and cavers from across the world. If you're looking for a more tranquil way to explore this beautiful area, there are many fantastic walks taking you through wonderful countryside and to Ingleton's surrounding towns and villages (such as the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail) and trout and salmon fishing can be enjoyed in the area. The village itself has all the amenities you could require during your stay, with cafes, shops, supermarkets and delis selling fresh local produce right on your doorstep.
