Close to the Yorkshire Dales, the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Lancashire’s beautiful Forest of Bowland, Giggleswick is the perfect place to explore the best nature Yorkshire has to offer. The village has great transport links with the Giggleswick railway station which runs to Leeds, Lancaster and Morecambe and a bus service that runs every 2 hours. The village has a lovely village shop and post office, perfect for picking up essentials, and a fantastic mix of local pubs to enjoy on an evening.
For a greater mix of shops and a supermarket, the market town of Skipton is 16 miles away, with plenty of excellent attractions such as Skipton Castle and the Craven Museum and Gallery. Other great days out include a visit to Ingleborough Cave, 6 miles away in Clapham, and the Pendle Witches Mystery Treasure Trail, 15 miles away in Barrowford.
Rock climbers will love the limestone crag north of Giggleswick and, while you are here, don’t forget to take some time to explore the village and admire the lovely traditional stone built cottages and the historic Tudor church in the village centre.
