Monks Bridge is a three bedroomed converted former school house, ideally situated at the edge of the peaceful village of Crosby Ravensworth and within easy walking distance of the local pub. The property is located next to Lyvennet Beck and Monks Bridge from where the cottage takes its name. Dating back to the 1700's this spacious property is in an ideal location for those wanting to explore Cumbria, Lancashire and the Yorkshire Dales. There is a delightful garden to relax in, or if the weather is not in your favour why not take a seat in the sun room that overlooks the Beck. If you are lucky you may catch a glimpse of the red squirrels, ducks and other wildlife that visit the area. Monks Bridge has retained much of the character of the original building such as the lofty ceilings, arched windows and wooden floors and is an ideal holiday destination for families or groups of friends.

Ideally located in the Eden Valley between three stunning national parks, the Yorkshire Dales, the Lake District and the Forest of Bowland, Crosby Ravensworth will delight walkers and visitors alike. The village is crossed by the coast to coast walk and the large limestone pavement close is well worth a visit if you're staying in the village. There are 90 sites of prehistoric settlements in the surrounding area including the white hag stone circle. The nearest market town to the village is Appleby in Westmorland where you will find a variety of shops and amenities. The village itself is served by the local pub, The Butchers Arms, which is owned by the local community.
