Bentham is a traditional market town which is ideally located for exploring the Yorkshire Dales, Lake District and Forest of Bowland, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Situated on the edge of North Yorkshire, the town really is well placed for walkers, with many trails nearby. These include the Bentham Heritage Trail which has various lengths and information boards along the way. There is also the Ingleton Waterfall Trail which takes you on a four and a half mile walk taking in some of the most picturesque waterfalls in this part of the Yorkshire Dales. Cyclists can enjoy various routes in the Forest of Bowland.
