Visit the Yorkshire Dales National Park and base yourself in this charming and beautifully presented cottage which seamlessly blends original features with a contemporary finish to create a memorable holiday home. Be it a romantic retreat or a break with the family, all ages will love a trip to Hawes (4 miles) for cake at one of the pretty tearooms, cheese tasting at the Wensleydale Creamery or to visit the weekly market.

At the entrance is space to store your coats and shoes before continuing into the bright and airy living room which has a calming ambience and a neutral colour palette. Three sumptuous sofas ensure plenty of room for everyone, with a wood burner in the centre of the room for warmth in the winter. The kitchen has a similar bright and inviting style with charming cabinets, fresh lighting and a dining table with chairs situated next to a large window. Upstairs you’ll find a bedroom furnished with a beautiful king-size bed and thoughtful decor including a dressing table and armchair. The second room is a tasteful twin and both rooms boast stunning scenery from the windows. Completing the property is the bathroom with an overhead shower, a perfect place to reset after a day of adventure in the Dales.

Located in the tranquil village of Bainbridge, you’ll find a small shop, a butcher's, a pub and a lovely tea room for afternoon treats. Take a walk from the village to the picturesque Aysgarth Falls (6 miles) to experience the dramatic cascading water where you’ll find several spots to stop and enjoy a picnic surrounded by natural beauty. The Himalayan Garden also at Aysgarth is another fascinating local attraction, filled with fascinating plant life.

The cottage was well furnished and presented, it was very clean. Ideal location for touring the area. Out of season parking in front of the cottage was no problem, if necessary dedicated parking bay at rear of cottage. We shall be booking again.

Lovely comfortable, warm cozy cottage in an elevated position in a great location. Small community shop is situated within Sycamore Hall stocking essentials also a hairdresser ( Good to know ) . Or we'll stocked shop in Askrigg mile away or Hawes has everything else 5 miles away. Plenty of good walks from the door .

We`ve had a wonderful week in this lovely cottage with amazing views from every window. Very well equipped. Our daughter loved the park opposite. We enjoyed walking from the village to Semer Water and the waterfall at Askrigg. Also visits to Middleham Castle and of course Wensleydale Creamery. Thank you for the flowers and cake.

This delightful cottage is very well equipped and thoughtfully laid out. It's well placed for touring the Dales and is close to other larger towns and villages. We had a great week taking some lovely walks and visited many other places - we had great food at the White Hart in Hawes and The Old Station in Richmond. Thank you

Our fourth visit to this lovely cottage and we have really enjoyed our stay again. Visited Kirkby Lonsdale, Sizergh, Aysgarth Falls, Keld & also an area of the dales we have never been to before, 'Littondale'. A lovely well maintained cottage. We had a really enjoyable stay and the weather allowed us to visit many places: Ribblehead Viaduct, Aysgarth Falls, Hardraw Force and White Scar Cave. Amblers has lovely views and is immaculate with thoughtful touches throughout. It has a very well equipped kitchen , very comfortable bed and bedroom and cosy lounge with a stove. It is clear the owners really care about the cottage and their guests and this is evident in all the touches .

What a lovely cottage, it has everything you need and more, it really is a home from home! We managed a few walks despite the weather! We can recommend the red squirrel trail at Snaizeholme, we were lucky to see an abundance of red squirrels! Sorry to be leaving but we will be back!

Another excellent break in the Dales in this wonderful cottage. We have enjoyed some beautiful walks - Semerwater, Askrigg & Falls, West Burton and Dent. Even managed some retail therapy in Harrogate when the weather was a but too rainy for walking. As always, sad to leave!

A lovely stay in an immaculate cottage, the owners have thought of everything to make sure you have a lovely stay. Visited Hardraw waterfall. Had Sunday lunch at the Wensleydale Heifer - superb, best to book as very popular. Had a lovely drink at the Yorebridge House Hotel, nice 10 min walk.

Very Comfortable cottage , the view of the hills opposite changes with the weather . the drives and the views are spectacular . We loved Richmond whitby was pretty but too crowded in August . Definitely recommend

Cottage is perfect; excellent value for money - we've stayed in many in the Dales and this is the best. The walking is superb, though rough in places (we're getting older!). We've done over 70 miles here in two weeks.The only disappointment was Yorebridge House - it used to do great meals. and now only caters for "events". Still the butcher in the Read morevillage is excellent so we had good meals. Hide

The cottage was spotlessly clean and in a lovely location facing the village green. It is ideally located for short drives to Hawes and Aysgarth Falls. Leyburn was a little further away but we did go and have a ride on the Wensleydale Railway from Leyburn to Leeming Bar and back. There are two lovely pubs in Askrigg , which is only 1.5 miles awaRead morey, for evening meals. We shall certainly return to this lovely cottage. Hide
