This holiday was fantastic! I loved the food and I thought it was quite good trying new things. I liked the hot tub best because I loved looking at the stars

Previous Customer,

Had a lovely stay. Very relaxing and some excellent meals cooked by Jo. Can't wait to come again

Rachel & S,

Words cannot describe quite how dreamlike the yurt and view are. An all too brief stay in this beautiful and luxurious yurt. Glamping at it's absolute best. The attention to detail is second to none and we felt thoroughly spoilt. The walk from here via mill gill and back through Askrigg is really worth it. Thank you Steve & Jo for being wonderful hosts and for the delicious breakfast.

Previous Customer,

To start, Jo & Steve were amazing hosts. We arrived at 21.40 as we'd got caught in some bad traffic and the hot tub and the yurt fires were already on the go. Jo's breakfasts are amazing. The yurt is a thing of dreams and done to the best possible spec with the bed being a particular highlight. The surrounding areas are picturesque and can easily say it's the best yurt we've ever stayed in. We will be recommending to all our family & friends. Thank you so much

Maggie & C,

We had a lovely stay. The kids really enjoyed the adventure. Lovely breakfast and dinner. Thank you so much for making us feel so welcome. We'll be recommending you.

John and L,

This is our idea of camping! Gorgeous views, cosy & comfortable accomadation with quiet relax time. Dog friendly and a hot tub. Amongst the many things we enjoyed here was the walks, the falls and not to mention how eco-friendly the place is. Steve & Jo have been incredible hosts and the food is amazing. Thank you both so much - we would love to come back with friends!

Cat & L,

Firstly we'd like to say a massive thank you to Jo & Steve for making us feel very welcome. Like most this was our first yurt experience but won't be our last here. The location is perfect even with the typical Yorkshire weather trying it's best to put a damper on it. Home cooked food is highly recommended. We shall be recommending you to all when we return home. Thank you.

Previous Customer,

Everything about this short stay has exceeded our expectations. This was our first glamping experience and it definitely wont be the last. The Yurt was cosy and spacious clean and well equipped. The attention to detail with decorations /furnishings is to be admired. Nothing has been too much for our hosts , the food has been excellent . We will miss the relaxation in the hot tub most. Richard & S,

Lovely stay with friendly service in a nice location. Hot tub was great for 4 logs going and you're up to 37 degrees in an hour with a lid on

Past Customer,

Our first glamping experience; loved it! The Yurt was so cosy (despite some proper Yorkshire weather!) and comfy. So good to come back to after a hard day out on the bikes. Local wildlife was great (especially for our 2 year old), even had regular visits from the amazing barn owl(s). Hot tub was fantastic - just the right size for the three of us & champagne at midnight & under a moonlit clear sky! Jo & steve were the ultimate hosts; warm, welcoming & so very helpful - Pete, Claire & Lyra

Past Customer,

We have had an amazing time nothing is too much trouble for Steve & Jo. Hot tub was brilliant just what we needed. Relaxing, peaceful heaven. Thank you so much

Pete and J,

We loved our stay here. Comfortable relaxing. Hot Tub was amazing Jo and Steve were so helpful and the way they use local businesses is so cute, the milk in the lovely bottle was delicious . Log Burner was great too

Past Customer,

The Weather was very mixed, Sun Rain and high winds but inside the Yurt was very cosy. It was our first time staying in a yurt and was pleasantly surprised at how pretty it had been decorated. Jo and Steve were great hosts and provided wonderful meals. One of us being lactose intolerant meant that meals can be tricky not so with Joe cooking , Jo provided excellent choices and a veg lasagna to beat all others ever eaten. (A meat eater would also enjoy). Fantastic location much to see , had a wonderful time . Enjoyed owl watching.

Area Information

The small Wensleydale village of Askrigg is an idyllic location to enjoy a lovely break away. The sights of the Yorkshire Dales National Park surround you, with the bustling market towns of Hawes, Leyburn and Northallerton being just a short drive away where you'll find lovely independent shops, cafes and restaurants. The village is famous for being the setting of fictional Darrowby in tv's All Creatures Great and Small, though in the 18th century was hive of industry when it became a centre for the textiles and knitting trade. It is also thought that Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned in Askrigg's Nappa Hall before being moved further down the dale to Castle Bolton. Today in the village you'll find three pubs, The Crown Inn (which dates back to 1850), The White Rose Hotel and the Kings Arms. The village also is home to some great tea rooms such as Humble Pie Fawcett & Guy a village bakery with a delicatessen and coffee shop. Askrigg also has a village store and newsagents.
