Ingrid Flute's website is well laid out and easy to use. The property was clean, well equipped, beautifully furnished/decorated and everything we hoped it would be. Whitby and surrounding area has lots to do, in stunning scenery. A great place to stay!
Lovely flat. Couldn't wish for a nicer place to stay. Clean and tidy. Close by everything and we had lovely weather. Can't wait to come again and would recommend to anyone.
Thank you Glenda for this lovely fantastic apartment. We have enjoyed our visit to Whitby. Fantastic and incredible weather. The flat is fully equipped and the light through the windows is lovely. Hope to see you soon.
2nd visit was just as great as the 1st. Flat is fabulous and we were lucky with the weather. We didn't want to go home and we will be coming back again. Thank you for a lovely place to stay.
Another great stay in this lovely, bright, clean flat. Lots to do here - Pannett Park & museum for children as well as the Pavillion Cinema & shows. Caves on the beach below the cliffs for exploring.
Lovely flat and fab location. Really well stocked kitchen especially tupperware for picnics. Moutreys Italian on the other side of the bridge was great. Sandside cafe in Sandsend is a beautiful place to sit and look at the sea. The walk was really lovely. Definitely recommend. We'll be back.
Never had such comfortable beds in a holiday accomodation. We had a lovely time and even got away with the weather. Thank you for providing a beautiful apartment that was spotless and in a fantastic location. Many thanks.
A lovely short break away with our 3 year old twins. Beautifully decorated and has everything you could ask for. The apartment was immaculately clean on our arrival. We will visit here again without a doubt.
Thank you for this beautiful place to stay. The location couldn't be better with a 5 minute walk to the sea and so many ice cream shops;. We had a great time here.
What a perfect apartment for a break in Whitby. Immaculate, clean property with everything we needed for our stay. A short walk to town and the harbour and an easy stroll to the beach for a day on the sand and in the sea. Sea Glass is a real find. Thank you for such a lovely base.
This is a beautifully appointed apartment, extremely clean, fresh and airy. A very homely holiday let with lovely artwork and touches including cotton bedding, which for us elevated it above other properties.
We've had a lovely stay. The flat was exceptional, beautifully clean and well equipped in a perfect location. Loved the tasteful decor and natural light. Will definitely recommend. Thank you.
Whitby is a popular choice for visitors all year round. It is well known for its long sandy beach and delicious seafood. The river Esk flows through the town to the sea and cottages are perched on the hills on each side, with cobbled streets and historic yards providing a maze of places to explore. The town has a fantastic mix of modern shops and services, traditional stores and boutique shops. Whitby jet continues to be made into beautiful jewellery and sold in a number of shops. There are plenty of excellent restaurants which serve local fish and seafood, as well as a wonderful choice of cafes and tearooms.
The ruins of Whitby Abbey stand dominantly on the clifftop and can be reached by climbing the 199 steps from the old town. The Abbey is said to have been the inspiration for Bram Stoker's novel Count Dracula, and its gothic splendour is the perfect place from which to take in some truly stunning views over the town, harbour and coastline. Whitby harbour is steeped in history and visitors can see where British explorer Captain James Cook first worked as an apprentice before setting sail and discovering Australia. A statue of this great explorer stands proudly above the town, along with some huge whalebones, a sign of the town's maritime history. The harbour is a buzz of activity and you can enjoy early mornings watching the fishing boats come ashore before getting first choice of their catch of the day.
There's always something happening throughout the town, with festivals and fairs are held throughout the year. These include Whitby Folk Week and the Whitby Regatta, and there are two popular Goth festivals each year.
