A lovely comfortable cottage and in the present Covid time that was so appreciated, as we are in our 70s so spend more time at home than we usually would. Loved the wood burner and cooking was no problem. Thank you for biscuits, milk and flowers - very thoughtful. Re-visited many places we went to with our children when they were young. Happy memories.
A very relaxing holiday in peaceful surroundings but close to all amenities. We enjoyed it very much. Thank you for milk, biscuits and flowers, much appreciated.
Thanks once again for a comfortable stay. Unexpectedly lovely weather with lots of sunshine. We were amazed at how busy everywhere on the coast is - a bit quieter at end of week at Sandsend and Runswick Bay. Some lovely stops for picnics and walks over the moors - nice and quite up there. Hope to return some time.
Our first visit to the yorkshire coast having been told by friends how lovely Whitby is and we no totally agree, A lovely cottage, well placed for our visits to whitby, Staithes, Runswick Bay and Robin Hood's Bay.
Thank you so much for the loan of your lovely cottage. We were blessed with good weather which added to our stay. Had a great time in a lovely clean well equipped cottage - thank you so much.
We have enjoyed another relaxing week at Westlands Cottage, walking, cycling and staying cosy by the fire. Hope to be back soon. Thanks.
Had a great week despite the autumnal storms! Lovely cosy cottage - you have thought of everything, including a torch which was very handy on our return in the dark by foot from The Black Bull, Ugthorpe!
We had a wonderful week in Westlands Cottage. It was warm and spotlessly clean, situated in peaceful countryside yet close to beautiful coastal towns and walks. Highly recommend the cottage and the area.
West Barnby is a secluded little village situated six miles outside the historic seaside town of Whitby.Surrounded by farmland with good views across the valley to the moors, this is a great base for walking and cycling holidays. Its location makes it a prime spot for nature lovers, and gives easy access to the National Park and attractions such as the North York Moors Steam Railway. There is also the picturesque Esk Valley line and local beaches. This is an ideal place for both country and beach holidays.
