Description
This old fisherman's cottage is full of character and is situated at the bottom of the village of Staithes opposite the Cod and Lobster pub with good views of the harbour, the sea and the towering headland.
GROUND FLOOR:
Lounge: TV with Freesat, video/DVD player, radio/CD player, open fire and beamed ceiling.
Kitchen: Fridge freezer, electric cooker with grill and oven, microwave and washing machine.
FIRST FLOOR:
Bedroom 1: Double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, hairdryer and harbour views.
Bedroom 2: Single bed, chest of drawers, hanging rail and harbour views.
Bathroom: Bath, toilet and washbasin.
Pets: One dog welcome.
Parking: Parking at the top of the village or at the Glen Vale private car park at an extra cost. You are able to drive down to load and unload.
Heating: Open fire in the lounge with one bucket of coal upon arrival. Additional coal can be purchased locally. Night-storage heaters.
Short breaks: Not accepted at peak times.
Notes: Please bring your own towels. A travel cot is available upon request. WiFi is available. The mobile phone signal is weak.
Staithes
Staithes is a pretty, traditional fishing village with bundles of charm located 10 miles north of Whitby and offers an idyllic location for holidaymakers visiting the seaside. The village boasts some of the narrowest cobbled streets in the north and is connected with ginnels, nooks and winding streets. There is plenty to see and do with pubs, cafes, shops, art galleries and a fish smokehouse. The village hosts real ale and jazz festivals during the year and attracts many visitors. For those fancying taking to the waters there are regular boat trips to Whitby from Staithes. There are many walks around the area along the cliff tops and through to Whitby, it is an ideal location for any holidaymaker.
