Cobnut Cottage is in fact two adjoining cottages which can be booked together to accommodate four people. Each of the smaller cottages have comfortable seating and dining table and chairs for four people to sit and relax and eat together. The cottages have been converted from the old barns adjacent to the owner's country house and retain much of the original character and charm. Each has a wonderful cosy atmosphere, with original beams on display and providing the structure for the gallery bedroom. The finish is to a very high standard with quality fittings and fixtures throughout including granite worktops in the kitchens and bathrooms.
There is a shared games room which includes a 3/4 size snooker table, table tennis, table football and many books, board games and DVDs. The owners can provide special event dinners in the house along with guided walks in the area. Tai Chi lessons and personal tuition available.
Situated just one and a half miles from the popular, busy fishing village of Staithes, the properties are surrounded by open countryside and there is access to a 4 acre paddock where holidaymakers can sit and enjoy the views. These well equipped and maintained cottages are personally supervised by the owners.

Staithes is a pretty, traditional fishing village with bundles of charm located 10 miles north of Whitby and offers an idyllic location for holidaymakers visiting the seaside. The village boasts some of the narrowest cobbled streets in the north and is connected with ginnels, nooks and winding streets. There is plenty to see and do with pubs, cafes, shops, art galleries and a fish smokehouse. The village hosts real ale and jazz festivals during the year and the September Arts Festival is becoming a very popular event which attracts many visitors. For those fancying taking to the waters there are regular boat trips to Whitby from Staithes. There are many walks around the area along the cliff tops and through to Whitby, it is an ideal location for any holidaymaker.
