Perfect for a romantic getaway or a memorable break as a small family, this cliffside bungalow is enveloped in peaceful countryside. If you love to be outdoors, then this two-bedroom retreat sleeping three guests is a wonderful choice, as it is surrounded by a network of walking trails that wind through the breathtakingly beautiful North York Moors National Park.

Easily accessed via a ramp, this single-storey property boasts lots of character, with exposed beams, sloping ceilings, and an elegant French farmhouse feel. Head straight for the heart of the home, the open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining room and make yourselves comfortable on the deep sofas which surround the TV. When you’re feeling hungry, the kitchen space has all you will need to prepare and cook some delicious meals, and there is a large dining table and chairs when you’re ready to serve up. The vast French doors throughout this space fill the bungalow with natural light. When you’re ready for bed, the master double bedroom with an en-suite shower room is a restful space to drift off and dream. Floor-to-ceiling windows and a patio door keep the space bright and airy during the day, with far-reaching views of the rolling hills. There is also a single bedroom which has an en-suite shower room. Outside, a patio which is shared with the neighbouring property boasts a luxurious undercover hot tub.

The nearest shops and pubs are in the picture-postcard fishing port of Staithes (1 mile). A huge draw for artists and photographers, this village is adorned with pastel-painted fishermen’s cottages and winding cobbled streets. It also has a connection to the famous Captain James Cook, which you can learn more about at the Staithes Heritage Centre. If you fancy a bucket and spade day out on the sand, the seaside resorts of Whitby (11 miles) and Robin Hood’s Bay (16 miles) are within close proximity.

A beautiful cottage very conveniently located for exploring Staithes and the surrounding areas. It was spotlessly clean and had everything you would need for a high-quality self catering stay. The private courtyard and hot tub were very peaceful and relaxing.

A few very minor issues that detracted from the enjoyment, namely excessive in your face signage, esp when watching tv, fire extinguisher also too in your face, no cheese grater, no squeegee in wet rooms.
