Botham’s a local bakery which is well known for its tasty treats and spar shop plus a lovely public house offering lovely Sunday lunches. Carr view hall offers plenty of parking on site and is only a short walk away from the North York Moors railway line with connecting trains to Whitby and Middlesbrough. There is also a regular bus service if you are wanting to park up and head into Whitby for the day to explore all the towns local attractions from exploring evening boat trip rides out of the harbour, walking the 199 steps up to the Whitby Abbey, beautiful restaurants and local tearooms you will be spoilt for choice. Area Information

Sleights is a stunning, traditional village located about three miles from Whitby, and is one of the largest villages in country. Along the bottom of the village runs the River Esk, where many salmon can be seen leaping in the river. Salmon fishing permits can be obtained for anyone interested in trying their hand at fishing. The village has fantastic amenities including a shop, bakers, an award-winning butchers, pubs, church, village hall, fish and chip restaurant and a post office. It is a wonderful location for walks and is perfect for a family or couples holiday.
