Scarborough is one of the first seaside towns in the North of England and its history is still apparent. Scarborough Castle has a 3,000 year history and is worth a visit, it sits high on the cliff tops overlooking Scarborough with its stunning views of the coastline and the North Sea. There is Peasholm Park with its railway taking you along the cliffs and its Japanese style landscaped park. The Sealife Centre is a must with its Oceanic exhibits for all ages. If railways are your thing then you will not be disappointed, you will find the North Bay Heritage Railway and drive further afield to the North York Moors Railway, Pickering to Whitby Line and stop off at Goathland, Hogwarts Station ! Scarborough has so much to explore and to offer you, there are restaurants, cafes, wonderful fish and chips and a traditional seaside atmosphere. The 4 star Crown Spa Hotel is just around the corner, which allows non-residents to drink and dine, also with an outside seating area with sea views. What are you waiting for !
Entrance hall: A long hallway which all the rooms lead off. Coat hooks.
Snug area: This a useful area with an extra double sofa bed and a large window a great area for a child to sleep or friends holidaying together wanting two beds. If there are just two of you it's a great place to enjoy reading while someone else is watching TV. There is adoor to the utility cupboard where you will find the washing machine.
Open plan living/ dining room/kitchen: The first impression you will get here is the feeling of space, light and calm. There is a large bay window with the original architecture clearly seen on mullioned windows, which overlooks the Vicarage. There are two comfy leather sofas on which to sit and watch the world go by, another large window has a superb tree outside and plenty more to be seen as you look over the street and adjacent grassy area. The windows are set low so even when you are sat relaxing you can easily see outside. There is a glass coffee table to rest your glass of something fizzy on and a smart TV to enjoy that box set you've been meaning to watch all year. When it comes to dinner time there is a matching glass table and 4 chairs set in the bay window area, such a great place to sit and anticipate a tasty meal made from yorkshire's finest produce. The cook is close by too as the kitchen area is to the rear of the living area. This is a well stocked kitchen with an electric cooker and ceramic hob, microwave, fridge and freezer and dishwasher. It is spacious and convenient and means the chef is never far away if you need to be a backseat cook !
Bathroom: A lovely large room with a bath with shower over, a great asset to soak weary limbs after a day walking on the moors or swimming in the sea. A large heated towel rail keeps your towels nice and toasty and the inset mirror is a lovely feature. White basin and sanitary ware with mosaic tiles, completes this oasis of calm.
Bedroom: The bedroom is an absolutely gorgeous room which is spacious and relaxing, sit in the comfy chair by the almost floor to ceiling windows and gaze at the greenery outside. There is a double bed, wardrobe, dressing table and chest of drawers, more than enough space to put your summer wardrobe or winter woollies. Do you like breakfast in bed, if so this room is for you. There is a large contemporary table which can be pulled up to form a table over the bed, just right to rest your bucks fizz and croissants on whilst watching morning TV on the SMART TV. This is a room in which to wind down and, just for a while, take life a bit more slowly !
