The property was just as i imagined.Very homely and plenty of room.Beautiful sea views. Hillside house is everything you could imagine. It was a family get together to celebrate my birthday and my sons 40th.A bottle of wine and a tin of celebrations on our arrival was a lovely thought. Will definitely be going back next year.Mrs RUTH Smith - 17th November 2016
This was the perfect holiday home. Spacious, yet very warm and cosy. There was everything we needed and plenty of cutlery and crockery. We felt at home as soon as we entered. We would highly recommend it. We've visited this area many times over the years, and never always enjoy the towns, villages and varied countryside. J Duffy - 4th November 2016

I loved using the aga as I had never used one before but could have done with a few tips on which pans to use, timings etc. Excellent facilities, including an aga. Sandsend, one of North Yorkshire's prettiest coastal villages, is set at the foot of Lythe Bank and only a two mile beach walk away from Whitby. Pretty holiday cottages and houses are set in the stunning cliff backdrop. Beneath them is the award-winning beach, with streams leading to the sea, perfect for children to have a splash in or feed the ducks. Alternatively a walk in the neighbouring woodlands or along the cliffs is equally as charming. Originally Sandsend was two separate villages, each formed along its own beck, it now stands as one united village. There are interesting shops, an award-winning restaurant, cafes, pubs and an art gallery. With beautiful views of the coastline and its famous historic neighbour, Whitby, it is a truly magical place.
