Description

Discovery Cottage is one of the largest of the luxurious cottages within the Fold. This pet friendly, stone built cottage has three spacious bedrooms, sleeping six guests, all with en suite facilities, one of which is located on the ground floor.  The lounge / kitchen /diner are of open plan design, modern and very well equipped. The patio doors lead to a large furnished, terrace balcony overlooking the stream, courtyard and Raithwaite Estate. A peaceful and secluded location, making the perfect escape for a relaxing holiday.
Guests of the cottages can take full advantage of the facilities within the rest of the Raithwaite Estate.

Sandsend 

Sandsend, one of North Yorkshire's prettiest coastal villages, is set at the foot of Lythe Bank and only a two mile beach walk away from Whitby. Pretty holiday cottages and houses are set in the stunning cliff backdrop. Beneath them is the award-winning beach, with streams leading to the sea, perfect for children to have a splash in or feed the ducks. Alternatively a walk in the neighbouring woodlands or along the cliffs is equally as charming. Originally Sandsend was two separate villages, each formed along its own beck, it now stands as one united village. There are interesting shops, an award-winning restaurant, cafes, pubs and an art gallery. With beautiful views of the coastline and its famous historic neighbour, Whitby, it is a truly magical place.
