We have really enjoyed our stay at Clematis Cottage. Such a lovely find and right on the beach! The cottage and location is just perfect for families.
Had a great five-night stay at the cottage and loved it. Visited Saltburn, Whitby, Robin Hood's Bay. Just enjoyed walking on the beach with the dogs. We will be back - thank you!
Lovely spot, lovely people. Thank you so much.
What a brilliant last minute find! Only booked the day before. Lovely cottage in a beautiful location - only regret is that we couldn't stay longer.
Excellent seven days. Ticked every box!
Fabulous week from ice creams to gale weather! Lovely cottage.
Excellent location; cosy and comfortable. Weather poor but we didn't care. Just a joy to be away. Fantastic walks on the beach and inland - just what we needed - thank you.
Great week as ever around Whitby. Great cottage and very handy for pub next door (food very good) and beach.
Sandsend, one of North Yorkshire's prettiest coastal villages, is set at the foot of Lythe Bank and only a two mile beach walk away from Whitby. Pretty holiday cottages and houses are set in the stunning cliff backdrop. Beneath them is the award-winning beach, with streams leading to the sea, perfect for children to have a splash in or feed the ducks. Alternatively a walk in the neighbouring woodlands or along the cliffs is equally as charming. Originally Sandsend was two separate villages, each formed along its own beck, it now stands as one united village. There are interesting shops, an award-winning restaurant, cafes, pubs and an art gallery. With beautiful views of the coastline and its famous historic neighbour, Whitby, it is a truly magical place.
