Key collection, welcome and car parking

  • There is ample car parking area for this property
  • The car parking area is tarmac, levelled, flat and even
  • Parking is approximately 27  metres away from the entrance , however there is an area outside the property to unload before permanently parking cars
  • We offer a meet and greet policy to familiarise yourself with your holiday accommodation

Entrance to the property

  • The joint access for The Cottage and Barn is approached up a stone flagged path approximately 8 metres from the tarmac road.
  • The main door is 90cm wide
  • It is all on level ground. The main entrance is well lit and diameter is 3 metres x 2.20 metres
  • The floor covering inside the entrance is stone flags and there is a rubber backed mat just inside the entrance
  • The light switch is located to the left just inside the main door – the first switch is for the outside light which is situated on the stone outside wall to the right of the main door – the second switch is for inside lights
  • The entrance to The Cottage is through the door to the right in the entrance hall and is 74cm in width

Sitting Room

  • Flooring is stone flags with a twist pile rug underneath the coffee table.
  • Furniture should not be moved unless by request
  • There is 1 x 2 seater leather sofa, 1leather chair 1 tub chair , 1 coffee table L120 x W60 x H48 cm

Area Information

Ruswarp is a picturesque village located just less than two miles away from Whitby and along the river Esk. There is a train station which passes through the village going to Pickering or Middlesbrough. The village has many attractions and activities for the family to enjoy. You can row your way down the River Esk in a rowing boat which are available for hire. There is a soft play area called Mini Monsters for the children and a farm park with a variety of farm animals as well as a miniature railway for children to enjoy. Alternatively if you fancy a walk there are many nice routes including The Monks Trod footpath leading to Whitby or routes to the neighbouring village of Sleights.
