Ideal for larger parties, the open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining room is a great space for everyone to come together, with a large dining table that sits beneath the grand floor-to-ceiling windows. With the River Esk running through the area, there are many outdoor activities to enjoy nearby, including scenic walking trails like the 2-mile Monk's Trod from Ruswarp to Whitby. The Barn is a lovely place to stay. The property itself is a good size and very well equipped. The grounds are really pleasant, and the small villages either side are nice to visit. Also it is a great base for visiting the attractions of North Yorkshire.

The Barn was everything we were wanting. Beautiful property in perfect surroundings. Ruswarp is a lovely village with great pub and riverside cafes. We were glad we stayed here rather than in Whitby. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely cottage, immaculate condition. Very comfortable. Just a small walk without a pavement to get to the village no lights.
