Description
The Barn is a fabulous luxury modern property, surrounded by the charming scenery of the Esk Valley, on the outskirts of Ruswarp. The property offers an amazing modern interior with high quality furnishing and fabrics. The tranquillity and the beauty of the nature around, make it a perfect retreat for everyone looking for a peaceful break, yet the location, just a short distance to Whitby, offers great opportunities for those wanting to explore this beautiful bustling town with its famous tearooms, fish & chip shops, restaurants, pubs, steam train, beach and amazing history. The Barn may be used together with The Cottage (WA007) and The Byre (WA008).
GROUND FLOOR
Entrance: Into the lobby shared with The Cottage.
Lounge/Kitchen/Dining Room: TV with Freeview and DVD, iPod docking station, woodburner, dishwasher, fridge freezer, electric range with induction hob, double oven and grill, microwave, refectory style table and chairs, attractive modern staircase leading upstairs with a walkway, French doors leading out to the patio area.
Wet room: Walk-in shower with a seat and handrail, toilet, adjustable washbasin, heated towel rail. Suitable for people with mobility problems and in wheelchairs.
Bedroom 1: Twin beds, wardrobe, dressing table, wide glass door with a ramp leading out to the patio. The wet room is across the kitchen.
Separate shared laundry outside: Washing machine, tumble dryer.
FIRST FLOOR
Bedroom 2: Twin beds, two chests of drawers, wardrobe, dressing table.
Bedroom 3: Accessed by the metal walkway. King-size bed, wardrobe, dressing table, full length mirror, separate seating area.
En suite: Bath, shower over the bath, toilet, washbasin, heated towel rail.
Pets: One large or two small well behaved dogs are welcome. (Additional charge of £30 per pet per week or part week).
Parking: Private parking for three cars.
Garden/Patio: Private patio with lawn and outside seating.
Heating: Under-floor heating and woodburner (start-up fuel provided).
Short breaks: Accepted anytime.
Notes: Towels are provided. Downstairs bedroom and wet room suitable for people with mobility problems and in wheelchairs. Travel cot and high chair available. Area Information
Ruswarp
Ruswarp is a picturesque village located just less than two miles away from Whitby and along the river Esk. There is a train station which passes through the village going to Pickering or Middlesbrough. The village has many attractions and activities for the family to enjoy. You can row your way down the River Esk in a rowing boat which are available for hire. There is a soft play area called Mini Monsters for the children and a farm park with a variety of farm animals as well as a miniature railway for children to enjoy. Alternatively if you fancy a walk there are many nice routes including The Monks Trod footpath leading to Whitby or routes to the neighbouring village of Sleights.
