Beare Cottage is a delightful property dating back to the 18th Century and was once a fisherman’s cottage and is now a beautiful three storey property offering splendid holiday accommodation for up to four guests. The cottage is a short walk down hill from the beach.
The cottage combines many original features with modern facilities. There is original wood panelling throughout, thought to be about 200 years old, and wooden roof beams with an interesting crooked frame exposed on the second floor.
Heating is provided by an open fire with a bucket of coal provided on your arrival and night storage heaters in each room.
To the front of Beare Cottage is a small south facing decked area which looks down onto New Road. There is a table and outdoor seating for enjoying evening meals

Robin Hood’s Bay is truly a magical, unspoilt place.  Where better to explore some of Yorkshire’s finest scenery and stunning coastline? Whether you opt to walk, cycle or ride a horse there is plenty to do and see. There are magnificent coastal walks both to Ravenscar or over Bay Ness and to Whitby. The area is rich in wildlife, in particular winter and summer migrant birds, the seals at Ravenscar, or you may be lucky enough to see a pod of Minke whales as we were one recent summer’s day.
