Description
The Barn, Green End is a delightful single storey stone-built barn conversion. Situated at the heart of the North York Moors National Park on the outskirts of the villages of Goathland and Grosmont, with wonderful views over the Esk Valley. Grosmont and Goathland are both located on the North York Moors Railway line, which connects the famous seaside resort of Whitby and the popular market town of Pickering. Goathland has a long history with television, being famous for the village of Aidensfield in the Heart Beat series and the train station was used for Hogsmeade in the Harry Potter films. Grosmont is nestled in the Esk valley, surrounded by ancient woodland. It is home to the North York Moors Railway engine sheds. The area is very popular with holidaymakers, walkers and cyclists.
The Barn, Green End is all on one level, with high ceilings, wooden beams, terracotta style tiles and under floor heating throughout. It consists of two spacious bedrooms set up as a traditional barn accommodation with a mixture of king-size beds and full-size bunk beds. Each bedroom has its own modern en suite shower room and there is another shower room off the hallway. The central room is the heart of the Barn, open plan, spacious and light with panoramic views over the Esk valley. There is a large wooden dining table, where everybody can comfortably sit together to enjoy the evening meal and the company of family and friends after a busy day. The stylish, modern kitchen offers quality bespoke units. At the front of the property there is an outdoor seating area. The views from here are breath taking, just the place to sit and relax. The Barn is situated on a working farm where you may see sheep, chickens and ducks. The picturesque villages of Goathland, Beck Hole, Grosmont and Glaisdale as well as the historic seaside resort of Whitby are only a short drive from the property. Grosmont, the closest village has good public transport links.

Area Information
Goathland
Goathland is a stunning traditional village set in the North Yorkshire Moors. The village was put on the map after being the fictional setting of Aidensfield in ITV1's drama Heartbeat. Many of the landmarks in the 1960s series are recognisable including the pub, post office and garage. This is not the first time the village has featured on our screens as Goathland Railway Station was used as the location for Hogsmeade Railway Station in the Harry Potter films. The station links Grosmont with Pickering, and a steam train makes journeys to and from Whitby. The village has many attractions including picnic spots, many walking routes and the stunning natural beauty of the Mallyan Spout waterfall.
