The quiet village of Easington sits on the northern edge of the North York Moors National Park and is a great location for exploring the nearby Yorkshire Coast, which boasts plenty of walking routes, cycling trails and dog walking opportunities.The long distance Cleveland Way National Trail also runs close to the village and from here you can walk all the way along to the seaside town of Whitby, taking in some spectacular scenery on the way.
Close to the village of Easington you will also find some wonderful places to eat, from pubs to tea rooms. Grinkle Park Hotel which is nearby serves delicious afternoon teas in its conservatory and beautiful grounds.
The quaint fishing villages of Staithes and Runswick Bay with their lovely sandy beaches and rock pools to keep the children entertained are just 10 minutes away. As part of the Dinosaur Coast, make sure you keep a look out on the beaches for a fossil or two. There's also lots of lovely cafes, restaurants serving local delicacies, independent gift shops and art galleries to explore too.
The busier traditional seaside town of Whitby is just a 15 minute bus journey away and is full of historic attractions to explore. Saltburn-by-the-Sea with its Victorian pier, cliff lift and beautiful gardens and park is also a short journey away.
