Coomboots is just 5 miles from the popular seaside resort of Scarborough and lies within the boundaries of the North York Moors National Park. Surrounded by beautiful forest scenery, the village has far reaching views of Scarborough Castle and the sea and is an ideal starting point for many wonderful walks. Just up the hill is the start of an off-road walk along Haybrow to Scalby village, just two miles away. Scalby village is home to one of Yorkshires oldest churches, St. Laurence's, built way back in 1150.
A number of bridleways are easily accessed from the village, making this an ideal location for cyclists as well as walkers.
