Cayton village and Cayton Bay are about four miles south of the large seaside resort of Scarborough. The village itself has a Post Office and village store, a local pub and great views over the Yorkshire Wolds. The Bay has wonderful wide sweeping contours and is very popular with holidaymakers, offering a delightful sandy beach. The beach is regularly awarded the ENCAMS Seaside Award and the blue and white flag flies proudly in the gentle breeze.
Scarborough has all of the amenities of a large coastal resort. From traditional donkey rides on the beach to the new waterpark in North Bay, there is something to delight children of all ages. A varied programme of events is held throughout the year at venues such as Scarborough Spa, the Open Air Theatre and the Stephen Joseph Theatre in the Round.
