Immerse yourself in the idyllic Yorkshire village of Aislaby with a stay at this exceptional holiday cottage, offering a wonderful combination of old-world charm and contemporary finishes to create a stylish and welcoming home away from home for couples or a family.

As you enter, a hall awaits you to hang coats and remove shoes before descending to the lower ground floor. While the owners have lovingly updated the property, they have also managed to preserve the original charm of this 16th-century cottage. The open-plan lounge/diner exudes rustic character with its wooden beams, exposed brickwork, and elegant travertine tiling. Stay warm with underfloor heating and a wood burner while enjoying music, TV, or sharing a delicious meal. Adjacent to the lounge, the farmhouse-style kitchen features a deep Belfast sink. On the first floor, you'll find two inviting bedrooms, a charming double room with a feature fireplace and a cosy twin room. At the end of the day, take a relaxing soak in the gorgeous slipper bath found in the family bathroom, that completes the internal layout. Outside, soak up the village ambience from the front patio, complete with a bistro set perfect for savouring your morning coffee or al fresco dining.

Located in the heart of the North York Moors National Park, you'll have an abundance of scenic walking and cycling routes to explore right at your doorstep. Take leisurely hikes around Glaisdale (6.5 miles), Egton Bridge (4.5 miles), and Grosmont (5 miles) to marvel at the breathtaking Esk Valley scenery. Cycling enthusiasts can embark on a portion of the renowned 150-mile Moor to Sea Cycle Network, known for its stunning routes within the National Park. An absolutely wonderful cottage, it was well equipped and clean, the beds were comfy and the wood burner, plentiful window seats and comfy sofas invited rest and relaxation (very quiet neighbours also). It was ideally suited to exploring the surrounding area. The local pub was fab, with delicious food and friendly staff. Robin Hoods Bay, Whitby, aRead morend the Grosmont to Beck Hole (circular walk) were highlights during our stay. Hide

This is a lovely house and a great area. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. Went to Whitby, Robin Hood's Bay & Durham as well as Staithes. Durham cathedral is truly worth a visit. A walk around the area of Robin Hood's Bay showed us beautiful cliffs, fields and an abundant bird life. Thank you.
