Description

Marmaduke Cottage is a lovely traditional two bedroomed property with a garden and private parking. It offers quality furnishings, fabrics and all modern comforts yet it retains its original character. The cottage has lots of charm and some original features such as wooden beams and a traditional fire range in the lounge. Situated in Sancton, a lovely village at the foot of Yorkshire Wolds near Beverley, the cottage is ideal for a quiet relaxing break as well as an active holiday, with areas for walking and cycling close by. York, Hull  and many popular tourist attractions are just an easy drive away.

GROUND FLOOR
Entrance:
  Into a hallway with stairs to the first floor.
Lounge: TV with Freeview and DVD player, traditional fire range with open fire, comfortable seating.
Kitchen/Dining Room: Fridge freezer, electric hob, electric oven and grill, washing machine, microwave, dining table and chairs. Door to the garden with patio and outside seating.

FIRST FLOOR
Steep stairs.
Bedroom 1:
Double bed, two built-in wardrobes, feature fireplace.
Bedroom 2: Single bed, small wardrobe.
Bathroom: Bath, toilet, washbasin, shutters. Sloping ceiling.

Pets: Sorry, no pets.
Parking: Private parking for one car at the rear and unrestricted on-street parking in front of the cottage.
Gaden/Patio: Enclosed garden with patio and patio furniture. Shed for storing cycles.
Heating: Gas central heating, traditional fire range in the lounge. Start-up fuel provided.
Short breaks: Accepted anytime.
Notes: Towels are provided. Free unlimited WiFi. Travel cot available. A Good Housekeeping/ damage deposit of £100 is due two weeks before arrival payable directly to the owner.  Member of the Yorkshire Wildlife puffin trail, provides maps, bird and wildlife books, binoculars and information booklets of what is going on the area to do with wildlife.

Area Information

Sancton
The pretty little village of Sancton provides the perfect base for touring the Yorkshire Wolds, Yorkshire Coast and the nearby historic city of York. In the village there is a lovely local pub called The Star which is very popular with locals and visitors for its fantastic food as well as a Grade II listed church maintained by Historic England. The area is great for walkers with the The Yorkshire Wolds Way National Trail passing through the nearby town of Market Weighton, just over 5 minutes away by car. The village is also close to the market town of Beverley with its famous gothic Minster, racecourses, shops and markets. There is also a busy calendar of events throughout the year.
