Situated in the popular seaside resort of Whitby, Vega is an elegant and stylish detached property offering four bedrooms and having its own private driveway suitable for one car and further car parking space available on the quiet side road directly outside the property.

Vega is located within 15 minute walking distance of the centre of Whitby and its many amenities.  This delightful spacious modern property is the perfect setting for a great family or group holiday, special gathering or occasion.

Whitby is a popular, historic and famous all year round seaside holiday destination and offers a good choice of tourist attractions and places to visit such as the popular sandy beach and pier, The 199 Steps leading up to the legendary Whitby Abbey and the iconic St. Mary’s Parish Church.  Nearby Pannett Park also has an interesting museum and fun playpark.  Whitby also has well known historic links with Captain James Cook.   It is also known for the Count Dracula connection with Tourist Attraction on the Harbourside.   The charming Old Town has many boutique shops, tearooms and also offers a great selection of restaurants, pubs and of course award winning fish and chips!

Entrance Hallway:  As you enter the property there is a good sized hallway with shoe rack and recess coat cupboard.  Staircase leads to the first floor.
Lounge:   Large and spacious lounge with a log burning stove.  Comfortably furnished with Smart TV, Log Burner, One Two-Seater and One Three-Seater sofa, Armchair, coffee and side tables, small glass (dining) table and four chairs. Adjoining it via French doors there is a spacious and light dining room which is also great for relaxing on the comfy sofa and maybe having quiet time reading or perhaps playing board games.  Alternatively, open the French doors and it creates one extremely large living area, useful for larger gatherings.  Making your way through the glass sliding patio doors leads to a two level garden with lawns, well stocked flower borders and useful patio area where you can sit and have a drink or watch the children play.
Kitchen:  A beautiful modern bespoke kitchen offers a fridge freezer, dishwasher, two electric ovens with grill, electric induction 5 ring hob and microwave.  There is a good sized breakfast bar with bar stools.  Your Welcome Pack is included.
Downstairs Utility:  Situated off the kitchen this room contains a toilet, washbasin, washing machine and a useful shelf with laundry basket, drying rack and iron with ironing board.

Landing:  Spacious area leading to all bedrooms.
Bedroom One:  A delightful spacious bedroom offering a king-size bed, two bedside tables and lamps, hanging rail, small chest of drawers, dressing table with mirror and stool and a separate full length mirror with hanging space behind.
En-Suite Shower Room to Bedroom One:  This is a modern en-suite shower room with a walk-in rainfall shower and a hand held unit, toilet, washbasin and heated towel rail.  Large bathroom mirror with shaving socket.
Bedroom Two:  A beautifully set out twin room with two single beds, set of bedside cabinets with reading lamps, hanging rail and full length mirror.
Bedroom Three:  A spacious bedroom offering a delightful double bed, two bedside tables, two bedside lamps, Chest of drawers, furniture unit with hanging rail combined. Dressing table and mirror, separate full length mirror.
Bedroom Four:  Pleasant single room with single bed, bedside table and light and wall hooks for hanging clothes etc.
Family Bathroom:  A beautiful modern bathroom with toilet, hand basin, large mirror with shaving point, bath, separate walk-in rainfall shower.  Also heated towel rail.

Parking:  On the large driveway to the front of the property space for one car and there is unrestricted street parking on the quiet side road outside the property.
Garden:  A lovely lawned garden with flower beds to the front and rear.  It is a real feature of this property.  The back garden is fence enclosed and has a seating area with table and chairs.  A great private outdoor family garden space!

Area Information

Whitby is a popular choice for visitors all year round. It is well known for its long sandy beach and delicious seafood. The river Esk flows through the town to the sea and cottages are perched on the hills on each side, with cobbled streets and historic yards providing a maze of places to explore. The town has a fantastic mix of modern shops and services, traditional stores and boutique shops. Whitby jet continues to be made into beautiful jewellery and sold in a number of shops.  There are plenty of excellent restaurants which serve local fish and seafood, as well as a wonderful choice of cafes and tearooms.

The ruins of Whitby Abbey stand dominantly on the clifftop and can be reached by climbing the 199 steps from the old town. The Abbey is said to have been the inspiration for Bram Stoker's novel Count Dracula, and its gothic splendour is the perfect place from which to take in some truly stunning views over the town, harbour and coastline. Whitby harbour is steeped in history and visitors can see where British explorer Captain James Cook first worked as an apprentice before setting sail and discovering Australia. A statue of this great explorer stands proudly above the town, along with some huge whalebones, a sign of the town's maritime history. The harbour is a buzz of activity and you can enjoy early mornings watching the fishing boats come ashore before getting first choice of their catch of the day.

There's always something happening throughout the town, with festivals and fairs are held throughout the year. These include Whitby Folk Week and the Whitby Regatta, and there are two popular Goth festivals each year.
