Property code: OC-W416

A beautifully appointed property set on the Yorkshire coast with great connections to shops, eateries and beaches. With a private patio, charming features and plenty of room to socialise, this spacious cottage is a great base for five people to escape everyday life.

Kick off your sandy shoes, hang up your coats in the entrance hall, and usher the party through to the comfortable lounge. Find your place on the cushy seating, light the electric fire and enjoy utter relaxation in peaceful surroundings. The head chef of the group will be more than impressed with the mod cons that are provided in the kitchen/diner. Serve up the meals at the dining table or breakfast bar, or take your dishes outdoors to the private garden and eat alfresco in the evening sun. At the end of a busy day, enjoy a bubbly soak in the upstairs bathroom before climbing into one of the three pretty bedrooms: one king-size, one twin with zip-and-link beds and one single. With plenty of sleeping arrangements available, there's certainly an option for every taste. Freshen up in the shower or the bath before savouring early mornings basking in the sunshine with your cup of tea and a few pages of the newest bestseller.

Venture half a mile to the town centre of Whitby, where shops, restaurants and pubs provide lots of delicious meals for filling tummies on your holiday. A trip to Whitby would only be complete with visiting its incredible shoreline, which sits just 0.5 miles away from the cottage. Get to know Whitby a little better with a visit to the nearby abbey, which sits proudly above the town and boasts rare Gothic ruins and jaw-dropping views over the bay. If you brought your bikes with you, then the Cinder Track may be just what's needed to kick the holiday into high gear! This challenging 21-mile walking/cycling route winds its way from Whitby to Scarborough and benefits from snap-worthy vistas.

Turnbull View is a beautiful home from home. It has everything you could need for your holiday. Very well presented, clean, comfortable and it has a lovely secluded patio area for alfresco dining. It is within easy walking distance to the town centre which has numerous pubs, restaurants and cafes. We would definitely return to this home again.

Turnbull View is an excellent holiday property and was immaculately clean. A leisurely walking pace gets you to either the Whalebone Arch on the West Cliff, or to the eastern end of the swing bridge in town in about 15 minutes. There is private easy parking for 2 cars adjacent to the front door of the property (though we only had one). All routes oRead moreut of Whitby are very easy without needing to negotiate the town traffic which can be busy at times. We would (and probably will) book this property again and have no hesitation in recommending it. Hide

Great property - as good as the photos on the web site. Very clean, well organised, equipped and comfortable. Really close to the beach (10 min walk as need to go down slopes to reach the sand) and to the town centre (15 min walk). Playstation (bring more controllers if you want to play together) and Sky and Netflix was popular with the teenagerRead mores. [Please do not use my name in this review.] Hide
