A delightful family-friendly property set in a quiet residential area, 1 mile from Whitby’s iconic quayside, pier and beach. Finished to a high standard and featuring a homely lounge, airy kitchen/diner and a large rear garden, it is ideal for groups seeking easy access to the coast and North York Moors National Park.

This two-storey property will feel like home the moment you step inside, thanks to its light and spacious rooms adorned with rustic and colourful soft furnishings. You may struggle to leave the comfortable sofas in the lounge, where your group can stream favourite programmes or snuggle up throughout the day. Creative chefs will love the kitchen/diner, a deceptively large space big enough for lazy brushes and indulgent suppers, with access to the garden at the far end. A double bedroom with ample storage space stands on the ground floor, as does a large family bathroom. The king-size bedroom and the twin bedroom on the first floor are both beautifully appointed, offer ample storage space and stand close to a shower room. The neat lawn garden at the front of the property is complemented by a much larger enclosed garden at the rear, comprising a large lawn with a patio area in one corner.

A wander around Whitby’s historic streets, quayside and pier (1 mile) is a real feast for the senses, with plenty of family-friendly pubs and restaurants serving the catch of the day to choose from. A visit to the abbey, which stands on the other side of the River Esk, is an absolute must, and the views from its clifftop perch after climbing the 199 steps from the old town are captivating throughout the year. A walk on the beach is as bracing and is as scenic as any in the North York Moors National Park (2.5 miles).

The property is in an ideal location for Whitby town, within walking distance but also far enough to be peaceful. This is our third stay and will certainly be returning.

Redroofs was an absolute delightful experience. We have three young kids, and made the 10 minute walk to the beach most days, the property is a brilliant location. It also had everything we neededa washing machine and tumble dryer is a must for us so this was perfect. Whitby is a lovely place, and it was brilliant to have a lovely holiday home to eRead morenjoy it in. Hide

Redroofs is a lovely property in a quiet area a short walk downhill to the town centre and seafront. It was very clean, the beds were comfortable and the kitchen was very well equipped, the garden is secure and ideal for small children. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and would recommend Redroofs.
