While away your time in the Gothic town of Whitby while staying in a quiet residential area. Admire the historic attractions like the 657AD Whitby Abbey ruins, discover the abundance of local attractions, relax on the beach or venture into the surrounding North York Moors National Park.

Take the lift from the lobby to reach the front door of this second-floor apartment. Step inside to find a cosy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with neutral tones and a splash of calming purple. In front of the Juliette balcony are two plump sofas where you can relax with views of the water. Behind this is a glass dining table with seating for four and a tucked away ‘L’-shape kitchen with wooden cabinets and a convenient dishwasher and washing machine. There is also a utility room, bathroom and two bedrooms – a double with estuary and marina views plus a twin room.

During your stay on the east side of River Esk, you’ll benefit from a quiet location while also being just 1 mile away from the centre of Whitby. Take a night off from cooking and dine out at one of the local seafood restaurants or stop for lunch at a cafe (within 1 mile). Visit the local landmarks such as the 199 Steps, Whitby Abbey and the Whalebone Arch (1 mile). Spend an afternoon relaxing on the sandy Whitby Beach (1 mile) and stroll along the seafront all the way to Sandsend Beach (2.5 miles). Go on a boat cruise adventure, spook yourself at the Dracula Experience or learn about the local history at Whitby Museum (1 mile).

Easy booking process and great support throughout arrival and departure. Lovely apartment, as described. Very well equipped, comfortable and beautifully clean Great location for visiting Whitby - away from the crowds but an easy walk into the town centre.

Super efficient check-in with the manager Anni, who had very politely contacted us a few days before our arrival and the day prior to our arrival. Her handover was super helpful and professional. We found the accommodation well situated, very well maintained and very clean, comfortably furnished and extremely well equipped with everything needed foRead morer our stay, including a few basics and kitchen essentials. Nice touch! We would have no hesitation in recommending No 9 as a holiday venue, and almost certainly will return in the future. Hide

Hopefully you can see we were happy with everything but 3 top reasons were beautiful location, cleanliness of the property and proximity to the centre. Only 2 things wed do to improve the experience. We arrived without soap/body wash and hoped there might be some to tide us over but there wasnt. Also the property couldnt sustain enough hot water foRead morer 3 quick showers even with the boost facility in the cupboard. But these are minor. We loved ut overall. Hide
