Hill House Hideaway is a contemporary basement apartment within walking distance of Whitby. Close to Pannett Park which houses the Whitby Museum. There is private car parking for 1 car. Festivals abound in Whitby, there are Goth, Steampunk, Pirates, Folk and many more. Venture further afield and wonder at the beauty of the Moors, glorious in any season. This well-equipped apartment is light and airy and has a relaxed ambiance, with two lovely and restful bedrooms, one with an en-suite and a further house bathroom it is well served for a family, two couples or a weekend romantic retreat for 2. Entering the apartment, which is all on one level, you will find a tiled floor in Victorian mosaic style and a step down into the open plan Kitchen/Living/Dining area. There is a useful coat hanging rail.
Kitchen Lounge/dining area: The lounge area has a large corner sofa, just right to sit and cosy up whilst watching the large SMART TV with Freeview. Beautiful wall art of Whitby fills one full wall and really gives this room the wow factor. A stylish coffee table with hairpin legs and contemporary lighting completes the picture. The lighting and lamps are all matching throughout the property and are LED crystals set in silver twists and really give off a sparking light. This room is stylish and is a super room in which to sit and relax after a day in Yorkshire
The kitchen is very well equipped and boasts grey worktops and white high gloss wall units. You will find a fridge/ freezer, hob and integrated electric oven with grill, a dish washer, microwave and Dolce Gusto coffee machine. A welcome pack is included.
The dining area mirrors the stylish and contemporary vibe and has an individually made bespoke dining table and two benches
Bedroom 1: An elegantly furnished room with a king size bed with a distressed white frame. You will find plenty of storage with a large chest of drawers with matching crystal handles and bedside cabinets and a built-in utility cupboard and wardrobe incorporating a hanging rail and the washing machine. The wallpaper really sets off the room and is metallic in style with a fern decoration. There is a SMART wall mounted TV, just right to have a lazy morning in bed or indulge in a late-night film with no work in the morning. A glamorous large silver farmed mirror completes the luxe look of this room.
En-suite: This bedroom has an ensuite with a walk in shower, toilet and washbasin. The door to the rear courtyard and parking area is accessed from this bedroom.
Bedroom 2: Another super bedroom in modern style with twin beds and upholstered headboards, there is a Freeview TV, plenty of storage with a vintage style chest of drawers, bedside cabinets and a wardrobe.
The lights are a real feature with LED crystals set in a silver twist. There is beautiful wallpaper which frames the theme.

Whitby is a popular choice for visitors all year round. It is well known for its long sandy beach and delicious seafood. The river Esk flows through the town to the sea and cottages are perched on the hills on each side, with cobbled streets and historic yards providing a maze of places to explore. The town has a fantastic mix of modern shops and services, traditional stores and boutique shops. Whitby jet continues to be made into beautiful jewellery and sold in a number of shops. There are plenty of excellent restaurants which serve local fish and seafood, as well as a wonderful choice of cafes and tearooms.
The ruins of Whitby Abbey stand dominantly on the clifftop and can be reached by climbing the 199 steps from the old town. The Abbey is said to have been the inspiration for Bram Stoker's novel Count Dracula, and its gothic splendour is the perfect place from which to take in some truly stunning views over the town, harbour and coastline. Whitby harbour is steeped in history and visitors can see where British explorer Captain James Cook first worked as an apprentice before setting sail and discovering Australia. A statue of this great explorer stands proudly above the town, along with some huge whalebones, a sign of the town's maritime history. The harbour is a buzz of activity and you can enjoy early mornings watching the fishing boats come ashore before getting first choice of their catch of the day.
There's always something happening throughout the town, with festivals and fairs are held throughout the year. These include Whitby Folk Week and the Whitby Regatta, and there are two popular Goth festivals each year.
