Welcome to Four Harbour View a delightful stylish apartment which sleeps 3 located on the harbour side of Whitby with lovely views over the harbour. Located in a prime location for couples or families wanting to be close to all Whitby’s attractions and is close to centre and the swing bridge which leads to the historic “old town”. This spacious apartment is cosy but spacious and offers lovely furnishings throughout and would be ideal for a small family, couples or friends. The apartment is on the second floor and offers a beautiful master bedroom with an ensuite, a family bathroom and a single bedroom. The stylish open plan kitchen-lounge is a lovely place to make your favourite meal with a glass of your favourite wine or bottle of fizz. The lounge area offers a cosy and comfortable seating for 3 guests offering comfortable sofas with a 43-inch Smart TV so great for catching up on your favourite series or movie if you fancy a night in with Whitby’s famous fish and chips. A lovely room to sit and relax and look out onto the harbour side. If you are looking for a prime location getaway then this apartment is the one for you whether you are wanting a lovely stroll up the 199 steps or a walk down the pier to watch the sun down and call at the beautiful wine bars on the way, you will be spoilt for choice. A table to seat four guests a lovely place to enjoy a hearty breakfast before the start of your day or nice evening meal after exploring the local delicatessen. The lounge area offers a 43-inch Smart TV great for cosy nights on the comfortable two 2-seater sofas and coffee table to place your favourite glass of gin and nibbles on a lovely room to relax in or play your favourite board game after a day of exploring.

Area Information

Whitby is a popular choice for visitors all year round. It is well known for its long sandy beach and delicious seafood. The river Esk flows through the town to the sea and cottages are perched on the hills on each side, with cobbled streets and historic yards providing a maze of places to explore. The town has a fantastic mix of modern shops and services, traditional stores and boutique shops. Whitby jet continues to be made into beautiful jewellery and sold in a number of shops.  There are plenty of excellent restaurants which serve local fish and seafood, as well as a wonderful choice of cafes and tearooms.

The ruins of Whitby Abbey stand dominantly on the clifftop and can be reached by climbing the 199 steps from the old town. The Abbey is said to have been the inspiration for Bram Stoker's novel Count Dracula, and its gothic splendour is the perfect place from which to take in some truly stunning views over the town, harbour and coastline. Whitby harbour is steeped in history and visitors can see where British explorer Captain James Cook first worked as an apprentice before setting sail and discovering Australia. A statue of this great explorer stands proudly above the town, along with some huge whalebones, a sign of the town's maritime history. The harbour is a buzz of activity and you can enjoy early mornings watching the fishing boats come ashore before getting first choice of their catch of the day.

There's always something happening throughout the town, with festivals and fairs are held throughout the year. These include Whitby Folk Week and the Whitby Regatta, and there are two popular Goth festivals each year.
