Lovely, quirky, comfortable cottage in a brilliant location. In a small secluded yard just a minute from the centre of Whitby with its great range of shops, pubs, restaurants and all round Whitby niceness. We had a really great holiday. The open fire is a lovely touch during winter (our trip here being in December) and the kitchen appliances were aRead morell quite new and worked well. Hide

House was a period property with associated creaks and doors that didnt close properly but that was the charm of the place. Overall very comfortable and convenient location.

Overall I was pleased but you didn't include the severely uneven floors in the property info. As a person with dysautonomia who suffers dizziness and poor balance, I needed to know that. Also, the garden table and chairs were quite disgustingly filthy and therefore unusable. They were covered in bird faeces. I know it's the seaside so there's seRead moreagulls about but that table hadn't even attempted to be cleaned for weeks or months. It meant we couldn't sit outside or eat outside even though the weather was nice enough to do so. Hide

Great location and beautiful building. We found the bed a little uncomfortable and know that our dogs need some grass in the property for next time. But we had a lovely stay and loved how close the property was to everything. The living room with the open fire was beautiful.

Top scores except for equipment. Very limited channels on the TV so a smart TV would be much better. No ice cube tray. Also had to google how to work the heating thermostat because there was no mention of it in the cottage info folder. None of this was a big deal though, hope to return to Ducks Cottage .
