Dragonfly is a lovely one bedroom apartment set opposite beautiful Pannett Park in Whitby. With a secure, designated parking space, it is the perfect location for a romantic break in this historic seaside town. Close to the town centre shops, bars, restaurants and attractions you will have everything you need a short walk away. The apartment boasts an open plan living and dining area which is well equipped to a high standard and there is a secluded patio area for you to enjoy relaxing drinks or alfresco dining. The master bedroom is furnished to a high standard with a spacious and comfortable king size bed.

We thought the property was close to immaculate inside, and perfect for our needs. It is also perfectly located, being quiet to stay in but within easy walking distance of the town. The dedicated secure parking space is a huge bonus, particularly in a town where parking is not always easy. All in all, a perfect property from which to enjoy the delights of North Yorkshire! Excellent website, clear & detailed property descriptions and efficient booking/payment processes.

Dragonfly! What can we say? A little gem. Perfect location on Pannett Park, lovely and on the doorstep. Peaceful and quiet yet within walking distance into Whitby and the coast. We couldn't ask for anything more in an apartment. Spotlessly clean and tidy, great decor and everything that we needed. The welcome pack was indeed just that - very welcome! Was really nice to have tea/coffee as soon as we arrived - plus biscuits out of this world. Having a DAB radio was a bonus as we like the radio but all too often you're dependent on the TV. Everywhere was so comfy that after a day's walking it was a pleasure to return. Can recommend walking the cinder track if you want something different. Will return!

There was a temptation to go to one of the holiday lets in town for the history and closeness to everything. We are so glad we didn't. Area Information

Whitby is a popular choice for visitors all year round. It is well known for its long sandy beach and delicious seafood. The river Esk flows through the town to the sea and cottages are perched on the hills on each side, with cobbled streets and historic yards providing a maze of places to explore. The town has a fantastic mix of modern shops and services, traditional stores and boutique shops. Whitby jet continues to be made into beautiful jewellery and sold in a number of shops.  There are plenty of excellent restaurants which serve local fish and seafood, as well as a wonderful choice of cafes and tearooms.

The ruins of Whitby Abbey stand dominantly on the clifftop and can be reached by climbing the 199 steps from the old town. The Abbey is said to have been the inspiration for Bram Stoker's novel Count Dracula, and its gothic splendour is the perfect place from which to take in some truly stunning views over the town, harbour and coastline. Whitby harbour is steeped in history and visitors can see where British explorer Captain James Cook first worked as an apprentice before setting sail and discovering Australia. A statue of this great explorer stands proudly above the town, along with some huge whalebones, a sign of the town's maritime history. The harbour is a buzz of activity and you can enjoy early mornings watching the fishing boats come ashore before getting first choice of their catch of the day.

There's always something happening throughout the town, with festivals and fairs are held throughout the year. These include Whitby Folk Week and the Whitby Regatta, and there are two popular Goth festivals each year.
