This beautiful three bedroomed house is situated in the popular historic seaside town of Whitby, it has private off street parking and an enclosed patio with outside seating. The house has been furnished and presented to a very high standard and with a great attention to detail and yet retains lots of character and charm. All the rooms are spacious and well proportioned, and offer stylish and elegant accommodation with a modern contemporary touch. 16 Park Terrace is located just a short walk to Whitby town centre, shops, tearooms and restaurants and is a great choice for a family holiday or a seaside break with friends.

Living Room: Two comfortable sofas and a chair. Tiled coffee table, TV with Freeview and BT Vision plus BT sport and DVD player and selection of DVDs, period feature fireplace, Nautical themed wall unit with books and games. The living room has a unique arch internal feature window looking through into the kitchen diner.

Everything was easy to arrange and the property even better than the website indicated. Service excellent. Just a shame we had to leave a day or two early as our dog decided to leap off the sea wall onto the rocks below. We will all be back, including the dog !

Area Information

Whitby
Whitby is a popular choice for visitors all year round. It is well known for its long sandy beach and delicious seafood. The river Esk flows through the town to the sea and cottages are perched on the hills on each side, with cobbled streets and historic yards providing a maze of places to explore. The town has a fantastic mix of modern shops and services, traditional stores and boutique shops. Whitby jet continues to be made into beautiful jewellery and sold in a number of shops.  There are plenty of excellent restaurants which serve local fish and seafood, as well as a wonderful choice of cafes and tearooms.

The ruins of Whitby Abbey standdominantly on the clifftop and can be reached by climbing the 199 steps from the old town. The Abbey is said to have been the inspiration for Bram Stoker's novel Count Dracula, and its gothic splendour is the perfect place from which to take in some truly stunning views over the town, harbour and coastline. Whitby harbour is steeped in history and visitors can see where British explorer Captain James Cook first worked as an apprentice before setting sail and discovering Australia. A statue of this great explorer stands proudly above the town, along with some huge whalebones, a sign of the town's maritime history. The harbour is a buzz of activity and you can enjoy early mornings watching the fishing boats come ashore before getting first choice of their catch of the day.

There's always something happening throughout the town, with festivals and fairs are held throughout the year. These include Whitby Folk Week and the Whitby Regatta, and there are two popular Goth festivals each year.
