Join friends and family for a coastal escape in this fabulous two-storey apartment in Whitby. The property is located in the vibrant West Cliff area of the town, giving you easy access to a wonderful collection of shops and eateries, as well as the sandy beach (less than 1 mile). There are some excellent family attractions close to the apartment, including Whitby Museum and the North Yorkshire Moors Railway (both within 0.5 miles). In the evenings, relax on your private balcony overlooking the dramatic abbey ruins.

Stairs lead to the spacious, second-floor apartment, which has bright and contemporary decor and an open-plan layout. Inside, a sociable kitchen/diner awaits, with plush, velvet seating and a stylish dining table for enjoying mealtimes together. This room enjoys views towards Whitby Abbey. A separate kitchen provides the perfect space for rustling up tasty delights, and there’s also a cute breakfast table for sitting with a coffee and planning your day. The first of three bedrooms – a double – is located on this floor. Upstairs, you’ll find the remaining bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite shower room. The family bathroom completes this floor. French doors lead from the living area to the balcony, where you can unwind with a sundowner and admire the coastal views from the bistro table and two chairs.

Grab your buckets and spades and head to West Cliff Beach, where you’ll find a 2-mile stretch of golden sand and shallow waters for bathing. There are some lovely walks from here, including to the charming fishing village of Sandsend at the far end of the beach. Those wishing to explore on two wheels can join the traffic-free Cinder Track, which passes just 0.5 miles away. Whitby is a great base for exploring other coastal towns and villages, including Scarborough (20 miles) and Robin Hood’s Bay (6 miles).
