Wombleton Holiday Cottages

Wombleton is a charming village between the market towns of Helmsley and Kirkbymoorside. The pub has a reputation for serving good food and on the outskirts of the village is a restaurant with a difference, where you are seated in a teepee. The neighbouring towns have a good selection of supermarkets for all the essentials as well as independent shops, tearooms, pubs and restaurants. There is a local bus service (not Sundays) linking Helmsley and Scarborough.

Nearby attractions include Nunnington Hall, an Elizabethan manor house managed by the National Trust, and Castle Howard, the stately home where Brideshead Revisited was filmed. In Helmsley the Bird of Prey Centre, Castle and Walled Garden are all well worth a visit and there are plenty of independent shops to browse in this North York Moors market town. The city of York, Scarborough and Whitby are all within an hours drive, making a Wombleton cottage a great location for a sightseeing holiday to North Yorkshire.
