A lovely cottage in a tremendous location. The wonderful moors are next door and the coast within easy reach. The abbeys at Whitby and Rievaulx are well worth visiting.Ann and Nigel - 4th August 2017
We really loved our stay in this beautifully decorated, cosy cottage set in the heart of the idyllic village of Hutton-le-Hole. There is a delightful, sheltered garden, with plenty of sitting out space when the weather allows, and excellent walks straight from the door. It was lovely to curl up in front of the log stove in the sitting room after a long day of walking on the moors. In the village and surrounding villages there is a seemingly endless choice of excellent pubs providing anything from a basic meal and a drink through to fantastic quality dining.Chris & Jackie Blizard, December 2017
A stay in the quaint village of Hutton-le-Hole is like stepping back in time, the village is full of character and charm, with the freely grazing sheep and trickling beck providing a sense of peace and tranquility. It’s the perfect base for exploring the stunning North York Moors National Park and you can discover the history of the area at the Ryedale Folk Museum located in the village, a fascinating museum into rural life in the moors with realistic reconstructions of period buildings. Nearby you’ll find the market towns of Pickering and Kirkbymoorside where you’ll find a great range of local and national retailers as well as thriving markets to enjoy.
