Mulberry Cottage is a fabulous holiday home set in a secure and gated development in the historic market town of Helmsley. Wonderfully stylish and luxurious the owners have taken care to make this the perfect place to relax and unwind and share time with family and friends. The elegantly furnished lounge boasts stylish and comfortable sofas and a wood burning stove, perfect to cosy up to on an evening. The French doors lead out onto the patio area where you can sit with a glass of cool wine from the wine fridge and take in the fresh air. For total luxury every bedroom has its own en suite, and two of them have their own bathroom TVs.

Located in the centre, just off the Market Square behind the Black Swan Hotel, the house benefits from private parking to the front and is just a short walk to the town’s boutique shops, delicatessens, traditional pubs, restaurants, coffee shops and tea rooms serving delicious afternoon teas. Positioned on the edge of the North York Moors and at the start of the Cleveland Way, this is the ideal location for days out walking. There are outstanding walks and beautiful scenery just a few minutes walk away from the cottage. Enjoy scenic walks to Riveaux Abbey, Riccal Dale, Beck Dale and by the river in Duncombe Park. Visit Helmsley castle, the Birds of Prey centre, Helmsley walled garden, and in the summer enjoy a swim in Helmsley open air pool. Then retreat back to this cosy and welcoming cottage for some well-deserved relaxation.

Open Plan Kitchen/Lounge/Diner: this fantastic room is a great space for holidaying in with seating comprising a four-seater sofa and a two-seater sofa and a large foot stool to share. There is a coffee table and nest of tables, a large screen Smart TV (with Netflix and Amazon Prime available for guests who have their own accounts) and a wood burner to cosy up with after a long day sight-seeing. The French doors open up onto the rear patio.
For dining you will love the circular table with seating for six.
In the kitchen area you will find a full range of modern stylish kitchen units with all the appliances you could need including an electric over and induction hob with hood over, dishwasher, fridge freezer, wine cooler, washer dryer and built in microwave.

Helmsley
Famous for its character and charm, the historic market town of Helmsley is situated on the edge of the North York Moors National Park and the Valley of Pickering. It has retained its medieval layout and the Market Place is surrounded by some interesting period stone-built cottages and many charming traditional shops and tearooms. In the middle of the Market Place there is a statue of William Duncombe, 2nd Baron Feversham, whose family has been associated with Helmsley since 17th century. Helmsley with the nearby area offers a fabulous choice of places to visit, such as ruins of the Helmsley Castle built in 1120, Duncombe Park - the beautiful dwelling of the Barons of Feversham, the International Centre for Birds of Prey, Helmsley Walled Garden, Rievaulx Abbey, Nunnington Hall and the Sutton Bank. The 110 miles long Cleveland Way National Trail starts in Helmsley. The beautiful towns of York, Thirsk and Pickering are an easy drive away.
