Chloe’s Lodge is a detached lodge built to an extremely high standard and situated amidst beautiful countryside on the edge of Cropton Forest in the North York Moors National Park. Chloe’s Lodge is a cosy eco-friendly log cabin standing in a quiet secluded position surrounded by trees and within the grounds of the owners working beef and sheep farm. An idyllic retreat all set over one floor set admidst the trees and allowing you to get away from it all and enjoy the great outdoors. There’s a small footpath that leads to one of the most stunning viewpoints in North Yorkshire known as Surprise View. With fantastic walks on the doorstep and great cycling trails nearby there’s lots for you to do. For those who love walking, cycling and nature then these lodges have everything for you too. After a long day walking and exploring the area you can stroll down to the local pub for an evening meal.
The lodge is of traditional pine construction with all walls and ceilings of natural wood. The floors boast underfloor heating from an air source pump. There is a covered decked area with bench which overlooks the trees where you can while away your time listening to the birds and watching out for wildlife. The accommodation is all on the ground floor with ramp access from outside, making the lodge suitable for those with walking difficulties.
Ideal for lovers of the outdoors, bird watching, Dalby Forest 20 minute drive and the nearby market town of Pickering with its famous moors railway running through stunning scenery is within just a few minutes' drive.
Lounge: From the front door into the spacious open plan living area with triple aspect windows looking out onto the trees, a two-seater sofa, a three-seater sofa, chair, coffee table, small cupboard with lamp, large corner cupboard, a TV on the wall.
Kitchen Area: The kitchen is well equipped and boasts modern units and a long run of worktop. You will find a fridge with freezer compartment, ceramic hob, and integrated electric oven with grill and hood over, a dish washer and a microwave.
Dining area: with plenty of room for the oval table and six chairs.
THROUGH TO THE SLEEPING AREA
Bedroom One: A cosy room with a double bed and two bedside cabinets with lamps. You will also find plenty of storage with a dressing table with mirror and a built-in wardrobe.
Bedroom Two: Here, is the second double room with double bed two bedside cabinets and lamps. There is a built-in wardrobe and a chair.
Bedroom Three: This room boasts twin three ft beds with a bedside cabinet and lamp in-between, there is a full-sized pine wardrobe and a chair.
Bathroom: As a contrast the bathroom is a spacious room with a wet room shower, wall hung wash basin with mirror above, a WC and a heated towel rail.
To the front of the lodge: the private road to the lodge leads up towards the farm and there is a parking space and a picnic table with benches. The is a large veranda leading to the front door with a bench to sit on and enjoy watching the birds in the trees.
To the side and rear: Here there are the trees which form part of the forest.
Pets: 2 dogs welcome.

Cropton is a quiet unspoilt village near Pickering, dating back to Doomsday. It is situated on the edge of the North York Moors National Park and offers easy access to the Yorkshire Moors, Coast and the Historic City of York. Many stunning walks are available in and around the village and there is a site which contains the site of a Norman Motte and Bailey Castle with spectacular views of Rosedale valley, and another field is filled with wild orchids through the summer months. The New Inn at Cropton offers both bar and restaurant meals and is home to the famous Great Yorkshire Brewery. The area provides plenty of opportunity for walking, cycling, horse riding, fishing, golf and swimming. North York Moors Steam Railway, located 10 minutes drive away in the Market Town of Pickering, winds its way through the dramatic Newton Dale Valley to the seaside resort of Whitby. For those looking for more adventure Flamingo Land and Go Ape at Dalby Forest are in easy reach.
