This spacious, well-equipped period farmhouse bears a date stone of 1696 and has the original mullion windows.  The lounge is spacious with comfortable seating and benefits from a large stone fireplace (with the original bread oven and salt hole) housing a woodburning stove.  The kitchen/dining room is an ideal sociable area for family and friends to get together and an Aga completes the farmhouse feel. Reviews

We've had a great week, great weather enabled numerous walks & a most comfortable cottage to come home to was very special.

Past Customer,

We had a fabulous week at Brackenber Farmhouse. The cottage is beautiful, really welcoming and a lovely place to spend some time relaxing. There Aga and wood burner were very much appreciated as we visited in February, the house was always lovely and warm to come back to. There are some really thoughtful touches which made this cottage stand out from others we have stayed at - welcome tray, spice rack, herb garden a second fridge in the larder, detergent for the dishwasher and washing machine, games, books. And then there's the fabulous walks from the front door. We'd love to return.

Caroline O'Shaughnessy,

Brackenber is a very impressive farmhouse. Very well equipped and comfortable. Peaceful setting in beautiful Dales countryside. Enjoyed walks from the door. We will definitely return.

Thank you so much for providing such a beautiful home for our family holiday. The cottage and setting is beautiful and we've had an amazing time with the boys. Can't wait to keep bringing them back as they get older.

Past Customer,

This was our first time to the Dales and we have totally fallen in love with it. The cottage was so wonderfully warm and homely we enjoyed coming home every day. We will definitely be back.

Past Customer,

We have had a great week in this very comfortable cottage. It is really well equipped and has catered for our every need including a large utility room to dry our coats. We have enjoyed the lovely walks and the scenery.

Past Customer,

We absolutely loved staying here. It was superbly equipped and had everything we could want. It was lovely and warm even in sun zero temperatures. We loved watching all the birds come to the feeder including a pheasant! There was ample space even when we invited people over for dinner and there’s were 11 of us in the house. 3 toilets were very appreciated on this day. We will definitely stay here again if we plan to visit before we move to the Dales.
