 The rear garden is on two levels with steps leading to the upper level.  There are also some                     
 boundary walls that have a drop below, this is on the top area of the garden only and not the                     
 lower level.


Nestling above Great Harwood lies Windmill Cottage, which dates back to 1831 and has views over the town and far distant hills. It is filled with beautiful oak furniture and high quality furnishings, with stone floors, exposed beams and many original features.  The property is well equipped to provide superb holiday accommodation and is in a quiet location, with lovely views to the front of the property over the town and the far distant hills of Lancashire, and to the re4ar of the property stunning views over farmland. There are many walks in open countryside straight from the door, just up the hill behind the cottage leads you to woodland, reservoirs and river walks. The town has a farmers market on the first Sunday of every month.  Great Harwood  caters for your everyday requirements, is only a five minute stroll away and here you will find restaurants, pubs and local coffee shops.

Windmill Cottage is an ideal base to explore the surrounding area. Great property, fantastic views and lovely neighbours. We travelled over 200 miles to stay there but it was worth it.


Excellent cottage very close to the Ribble Valley. Newly renovated top to bottom. Goodies available on arrival - tea, coffee, milk in fridge etc. This is our second time in this cottage & we will return.


This cottage continues to be one the nicest rentals we use and has now become a home away from home. It has everything we need including visits from the local cow on a daily basis!! Thank you.
