Briercliffe cottages

Our cottages in Briercliffe are a great choice if you want to explore the best of Lancashire with your loved ones. Located in the borough of Burnley, Briercliffe is a parish just three miles north of one of Lancashire's biggest market towns. With easy access into the market town of Burnley, and the surrounding areas, why not come and visit one of Burnley's many breweries or museums, or shop at local Boundary Mill in Colne. The village is popular with walkers as the Pennine Way passes only a short distance from the village (it was originally intended to pass through the village itself). The village is rich with history, Extwistle Hall, a grade II listed building, lies to the east of the village and plans are in place to return the hall back to its original grandeur. The village also contains the remains of a medieval corn mill, a textile mill and a bobbin mill and some of the finest weavers cottages can be seen in the village.
