Such a lovely cottage right in the heart of The Yorkshire Dales. We had a nice, quiet, tranquil stay. The decor is fitting for the cottage. We particularly enjoye the fire.

We chose the property for the location & we were not disapointed, either by the surrounding scenery or the quality of the cottage itself. All in all a brilliant holiday.

What a delightful cottage. Superb facilities surrounded by absolute serenity. This cottage forms a perfect base for walking. Hawes offers all local amenities & the local scenery is amazing. Waking up to the little lambs, curlews & other wildlife will be missed. We shall be back to this lovely place. THANKYOU!

Blades Cottage is just perfect; the cottage is comfortable, cosy, beautifully decorated and furnished along with super comfy beds. Located down a private and peaceful track the views are stunning from every window. Hawes is 6 miles away offering most amenities, the Moorcock a mere 20 min walk, and stunning walking, indeed the 3 peaks, is all at hand. Can’t recommend this cottage enough.

Enjoyed our stay here very much. Good location for walking. A warm welcome at Moorcock Inn.

Kay & Mark Carter

Outstanding cottage in remote yet central location with all amenities one could hope for. Will definitely be back!

A perfect retreat from fast pace life; Blades offers everything you could want from a rental, and more. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the lambs ,Grouse and listening to the Curlews and other birds. Walking each day and returning to a log fire was wonderful. Food at Moorcock Inn is limited, but such lovely people. Can highly recommend The White Hart @ Hawes, delicious. We will most certainly return. .Thank you Margaret.

Stephen & Lizzie

This was our second time visiting Blades cottage. We love it here and will be returning again. Very relaxing with everything you need for a comfortable home away from home type of stay. We did a lovely walk from Hawes to Aysgill Force.

Jenny & Mike

Great Location - Had everything we needed.

We had a great stay in this wonderful cottage. We made use of all the facilities and love the way the cottage has been laid out. The bathroom downstairs helped when we got soaked on a walk to the train station! We managed to see loads of wildlife, the pheasants kept us on our toes as we walked through the fields. the walks are great.

Mr Currie

Wow what a beautiful cottage! All amenities well thought out and provided for. We have had a perfect Christmas getaway. We are booking again for the summer!

James & Louise

Beautiful! Inspiring! Snowy! Just spent 3 lovely, quiet and very snowy nights at this stunning cottage and would highly recommend it. The location is quiet and serene, with breathtaking views of the dales. The cottage itself has been furnished to a very high standard and wanted for nothing. Welcome pack was supplied with Tea,coffee, sugar, milk and biscuits and the little log burner all set up to light....literally walked in and relaxed. The recent wintry weather meant that the snow was 5 inches deep in places- might not suit all, but it made our stay even better - although the access was a bit problematic and had we not had a front wheel drive vehicle we might have needed the assistance of the ever so friendly farmer next door. Brilliant place to stay and chill out

Had a lovely stay in a warm cosy cottage. Really enjoyed seeing red squirrels and the short walks from the cottage.

Harley Sisters

Beautiful location the views were breath taking, with plenty of places to walk. Its less than ten minutes to Hawes. We thought the track to the cottage may be a problem in the winter, but it was so well maintained it was no problem. The cottage is very comfortable and well equipped and the location is superb! We would definitely return.

A lovely relaxing stay over Christmas, A perfect spot, off the road but nearby some spectacular things to see. Excellent walking and especially the cosy fire.

Dave & Susie

Peace, perfect peace! Wonderful relaxing stay. Cottage beautiful with fab walks from the cottage. Stunning walks around Dent, Dentdale, Clapham and Hawes all from the doorstep!

Fabulous house in a fantastic location : very well equipped with everything we needed. Didn't want to leave!

Sally & Steve

We stayed at Blades Cottage for a long weekend, but so wished it could have been longer! the cottage was beyond expectations. It was so beautiful, cosy, warm, comfortable and much more!! We didn't want to leave. It is 'off the beaten track' which is one of it's charms and the wonderful views from the cottage are stunning. We will be back!

Sally: York

We have just returned from a four night stay at this beautiful cottage, I would recommend it to anyone looking for a special holiday surrounded by beautiful countryside views, the cottage itself has every thing you need for your stay and the cleanliness is 5 star, we will definitely be going back again, thank you.

Alison K

Wow is all I can say. The pictures on here are fantastic but still don't do this cottage justice. We came for the weekend to celebrate my birthday. Stunning location and the finishing touches in the cottage made our stay perfect. Highly recommended.

Just returned from five days at Blades Cottage. It has all the facilities you need. Like home. A convenient kitchen. Cosy sitting room. Nicely decorated bedrooms. The bed is very comfortable. It has one bathroom and lovely on suite shower room. The garden is large with wonderful views. It’s perfect for walkers. Lovely cottage, amazing views, and lots of walks. Cottage has everything you need, very comfortable and peaceful. Highly recommend.

Dave & Mel
