Walk through a passageway through a side door to reach the entrance to the kitchen/diner. Inside you will find farmhouse-style units, a pop of colour in the tiling and furnishings and a wooden dining table with seating for four. Also on the ground floor is a family bathroom plus a twin room. On the first floor is a comfortable lounge with an oak dresser and an ornamental fireplace. Put your feet up on the sofa and admire the views across the harbour and Whitby Abbey. Completing this floor is a separate WC and two bedrooms – a bunk bedroom and a double. Outside is a courtyard to the front of the property with furniture and shrubs.
Stay in the heart of Whitby, just 500 metres from the River Esk. Stroll along the waterfront past seafood restaurants, cosy cafes and quirky shops to reach the sandy Whitby Beach (0.5 miles). From here you can walk 2.5 miles along the shore to Sandsend Beach. Take a picnic to Pannett Park (0.5 miles) and pop into the Whitby Museum. Prepare for a scare at the Dracula Experience, or hop on a boat from the harbour for a tour of the coast (both within 0.5 miles). Wander through the cobbled streets of the old town, climb the 199 Steps and admire the imposing 657AD Whitby Abbey ruins (0.5 miles). Kids will love Whitby Pavillion and the Captain Cook Memorial Museum (both within 0.5 miles).
