This elegant spacious period property offers the perfect base for a seaside break as it’s ideally located close to Whitby town centre, crazy golf and beach. This spacious four-bedroom property, presented over four floors, has been renovated to a high standard and sleeps eight people. It even boasts the added benefit of a games room on the lower-ground floor allowing hours of endless fun for children of all ages.

Enter at the ground floor and walk through the hallway which leads to the lounge. Here, you’ll find comfortable seating, a TV and DVD player, books, games and a coal-effect electric fire. The kitchen has white units and all the appliances needed to cater for a large group, and the dining area has an extendable table and chairs. There is also a handy WC on this level. Take the stairs down to the basement and find the games room with large bean bags and soft seating. There’s a TV with a selection of DVDs as well as foosball and table-top air hockey. Also on this level, there’s a utility room and a family bathroom. Back upstairs, the first floor houses three bedrooms and another bathroom. One bedroom is a double, another is a twin with a TV and a third is a bunk room. The master bedroom can be found on the second floor and comprises a double bed, a TV and has Velux windows. This room is served by an en-suite which has both a shower and a bath. To the rear, an enclosed yard gives the perfect setting for al fresco dining and is complete with garden furniture.

One of the most picturesque ports in England, Whitby and its harbour are set in a ravine at the mouth of the River Esk. Dominated by the cliff-top abbey ruins, the narrow alleys and cobbled streets climb down to the busy quayside, with its harbourside houses and quaint shops filled with arts, crafts and antiques. Whitby needs little in the way of introduction as it is one of the most popular seaside resorts in the region. Spend your days with a bucket and spade on the long sandy beach and when you’ve worked up an appetite, sample some of the seafood in one of the many cafes and restaurants that make the town so well-known far and wide! There’s always something happening throughout the town, and festivals and fairs are held throughout the year including the Whitby Goth Festival, Whitby Folk Week and the Whitby Regatta.

Good house in a great location, however the shine was taken off our stay by the variety of maintenance issues that we experienced at the property on arrival, particularly with regard to the attic bedroom and games room. The issues were reported as soon as the phone lines were open on the morning of day 2 but only one of the issues was fixed and notRead more until day 5 of our stay. Disappointing. Hide

Great location, cottage was clean, kids were a little disappointed with lack of games/incomplete games. Bedding was an issue for a few people who stayed with us, one of the mattresses was quite dirty after stripping the bed. Seemed like alot of emails & txt messages before our stay saying do not arrive before 4pm and make sure to vacate the premiseRead mores before 10am which i personally found alittle annoying. Hide

Lovely terraced house situated on the West Cliff of Whitby, easy access into the town. House is a comfortable size for the 7 of us that stayed, plenty of bathrooms to accomodate us. Would recommend.

Had a great holiday in this warm, welcoming and comfortable property. Could not be in a better position to access the beach, amusements and west pier.

Good all round only slight issues were there was nothing to tell you the location of the bins and when found they were already full, The parking at the back it is not clear where you are expected to park because of this it was better to use the scratch cards and park on the road which could cause problems for local residents. Not enough plastic cleRead morear bags were provided. Overall though it was a good holiday and we all liked the cottage very much Hide
