Bursting with charm and character, find pure peace and tranquillity at this traditional yet homely stone-built cottage tucked away in a quiet spot beside the owner's organic farm at the heart of the North York Moors, a stone’s throw from the market town of Pickering.

After a long day exploring your glorious surroundings, follow the warmth of the roaring wood burner into the light and bright lounge to unwind weary walking muscles on the comfy sofa and enjoy the ultimate family film night in front of the TV. Answer the rumble of hungry tummies in the spacious farmhouse-style kitchen/diner by rustling up a delicious locally sourced feast to feed the crowd seated around the rustic wooden dining table. As day turns to dusk, you have two beautifully presented bedrooms to retire to, which both feature charming sloping ceilings, gorgeous Velux windows and a natural, earthy colour palette that perfectly reflects the unspoilt countryside that surrounds you. Unwind to the sound of birdsong as you dine alfresco on the patio whilst children let off some steam exploring the enclosed lawn before bedtime.

Surrounded by Scarborough, Whitby, Helmsley and Malton, the bustling market town of Pickering is the perfect place to start an unforgettable Yorkshire getaway, with a playground of outdoor activities including walks along the North York Moors on your doorstep less than 3.5 miles away. With something for everyone to enjoy, from high-speed mountain biking trails to scenic walking footpaths through wonderful countryside scenery, enjoy a family fun adventure at Dalby Forest 14 miles away or answer the call of the Yorkshire coast 19 miles away at Scarborough Beach by rock pooling, building sandcastles or swimming its crystal waters. A really lovely stay in a great location. Would happily return again in future. The cottage was comfortable and had what we needed for a week. The home made scones and jam were delicious. In the summer months, be prepared to be woken early as the curtains dont keep out any light. This could be a potential issue for those staying with children.
