There are lots of steps up to the flat but they are a cheap price to pay for a great location and views. You can admire the Abbey while doing the washing up in the kitchen. The shower is about the best I have ever had and the central heating gets the flat warm in no time. This was our second visit to this flat and would come again.

There are a lot of stairs which would be an issue for some but the property has fantastic views over the bay and is still close to the harbour and shops. It is a light, spacious, apartment with a very well equipped kitchen. Would recommend.

We loved our stay at The Studio on the Royal Crescent over New Year. The apartment is really well situated only a minute's walk from Whitby's famous whale bone arch and a walk down into the town. We knew we were on the top floor but weren't quite prepared for the amount of steps to climb to the flat, and then further steps to the bathroom! There arRead moree maybe 6 or 7 flights of stairs, so just be aware if you are planning on lugging a lot of stuff up there, have small children or elderly guests. However, we were happy to pay that price to have a quiet stay, away from everyone else, with only the Whitby wind and the sea for company. Views are wonderful. The flat itself was very comfortable, we loved the main living area which felt modern and stylish - plenty of space to lounge about - and the kitchen was clean and very well equipped. The main bedroom was comfortable and we didn't use the single room but it looked like it would be a cute room for a small child. The bathroom was up a small flight of stairs and we didn't love it, but it was functional. There was no extraction fan (you could open the Velux, but it tended to dump muck into the bath if we did that) and the arrangement of the small suite meant you had to be careful not to fall down the stairs when stepping out of the bath - not a space for romantic baths for two, but perfectly serviceable. We noted that most of the Velux windows could do with some servicing, one in the living room was letting in water when it rained, and they just needed a general scrub, wood treatment and painting of the surrounds. But really, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely consider coming back to The Studio. Hide

Some areas of the apartment were dusty - under double bed , base of chair so just requires a little bit more attention when cleaning. We did have an issue regarding parking as no scratch card had been left for us so we spent Saturday morning trying to resolve / office in Whitby wasnt open as times indicated but all eventually was sorted.

Overall a lovely property but a few suggestions below: TV could do with upgrade ie to Smart TV Some info could do with updating eg colour of keys for various doors was not relevant. Some leaflets in accommodation out of date. Parking info could be clearer - that scratchcards had been left in property could have been stated on check-in information.

Property very good and comfortable and well equipped. The only thing we felt was not good was the double bed. It could do with replacing. Not particularly comfortable and it squeaks a lot every time you turn over. Otherwise everything else about the apartment was great.
