Lovely cottage, will book again. Parking was tight for a medium size car. The parking permit was useful and only a few minutes walk.

Lovely cottage, close to all amenities. Bedrooms are very spacious and cottage is well equipped. We found the lounge area very cramped for 5 people and it is supposed to accomodate 8. Other than that a great place to stsy.

A nice good sized house in a very good central location , just a few mins walk to the harbour front/town , it was clean and well equipped, 4 good size bedrooms, good quality bedding and great towels . There are a number of steps in two small staircases . Bonus of a lovely little patio area which would be welcome in the summer months , we were therRead moree end of October so it wasnt used . Open plan 2nd floor with a kitchen/ dining area , and terrace balcony from the patio doors with table and chairs , again great in the summertime to be able to sit out on the terrace in the evening. We had a good weeks weather so had a morning cuppa outside some days. The lounge area is comfortable a little basic and I feel would be a bit cramped for 8 especially if adults.. We found the downstairs cold for October. Parking for a small/ medium car is a bonus although a tight fit, if next door facing is occupied who share the space. We managed with a good sized car! The permit was a welcome bonus and not to far away to walk to and it saved a good 70 in parking fees for a second car . Allowing a dog was great to . All in all you would not be disappointed and enjoy your holiday in booking Kittiwake and Cormorant next door as our friends did to accommodate a large party. Hide

Stayed in Kittiwake Cottage for a week with family and friends (so 6 adults and a wee dog)) to celebrate my 60th birthday. It is a lovely place to stay in a great and quiet location yet minutes from shops, bars and cafes. We really appreciated the three bathrooms. The property is really well equipped though we were surprised that there was no dish Read moretowel or oven glove. There is both a patio and a balcony which would be brilliant for sitting outside in summer. It is important to point out that the car park for which a parking permit is provided is a 5 minute walk away, uphill, so not ideal for everyone. The parking space outside the property is shared with the neighbouring property. It is very small and due to parked cars opposite, challenging to get any car in and out and almost impossible if there is another car in the space. It states it fits two small/ medium cars but this is not the case in our experience. Parking permits can be purchased for the W zone but it can be difficult to find parking spaces in this zone anywhere near the property. Other than the issues with parking, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends. Hide

A well-kept property within walking distance of the centre of town. Ear plugs were a must-have item at night because of the constant noise from seagulls, but it's to be expected in a harbour town, and the same would probably be true for most properties in the centre of Whitby. All in all, a lovely place to stay.

Lovely cottage and in a great location for exploring all of Whitby. Second time weve stayed there and would definitely consider a third.
