Your canine companion is welcome to tag along with you and your friends or family at this sweet cottage in the heart of Old Town one street back from the seafront, in the perfect location for exploring the beach, castle, harbour and North and South Bays. It has wonderful views of the harbour and lighthouse, a patio for al fresco drinks, and a wood burner for cosy evenings in.

The first floor houses the cosy twin room and shower room, and the lovely double room is on the second floor where you can watch TV in bed, unpack into the gorgeous wooden furniture and enjoy the views. There’s space to store your bikes in the courtyard and sit with a cool drink in the sunshine.

We have just spent our third, extremely enjoyable, annual holiday at Lighthouse cottage. It has been ideal for us coming to Scarborough to see the year's Ayckbourn play and explore Scarborough and nearby walks. Parking is a bit stressful and the approach to the cottage and, indeed, its own staircases, have become a bit of a struggle but those with Read moreknees younger than mine should have a wonderful time. Stayed Aug 2024. A lovely building with fantastic views across the South Bay. We had everything we needed to make it feel like a home from home. Comfortable, clean and would definitely recommend the place to anyone. Will certainly look to stay here again.

A wonderful cottage in a fantastic location! It felt very homely and had everything we needed. There is a sea view from every window, even when on the loo! We will definitely return.

We had a lovely time in Lighthouse cottage and in Scarborough. The cottage was so close to the sea front. Everything in Scarborough was walking distance, at least for us, the castle, the harbour, the beach, the Italian gardens, Peasholm Park, the shops. So many places for coffee and meals too. My 4 for comfort was that the single bed mattresses werRead moree uncomfortable and gave us both back ache by the end of the week. Also the stairs are a trial and though we coped they were something that reduced the comfort slightly. We suspected they would so used the twin room and our daughter had the top room. 4 for value was because if I'd booked two weeks later I'd have saved 100. 4 for booking is I just tend to look for the property where and when we want to go and for one I like rather than use of a particular catalogue. 5 for recommend OC. I don't recommend often. My family and friends have their own way of finding and booking their hols. And most could not afford to rent a cottage anyway Hide

Lighthouse cottage is ideally placed to explore all of Scarborough. 2 mins to the front and harbour, 10 mins to castle or town, 10/15 mins over the hill to North bay. Interior is nicely done, well equipped and cozy, with great views from the top bedroom. Over 4 floors so not for the less mobile, no parking but plenty nearby in winter.
